Enjoyed the vibe of Better Half. The have a good selection of food, I had the breakfast sandwich, which was delicious. Was lucky to park in the main lot, there is street parking on the side. Would recommend carpooling or taking an Uber if in a group. The staffs were very welcoming and helpful. Their recommendations were very helpful. Wanted hot chocolate, and server was able to work something out that was pretty close to it. Thankful for that.Enjoyed my time here and loved the atmosphere.Note:Hot chocolate on the menu would be a great add ?
I’ve now been a couple times. This is still by far the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in Austin yet! Each ingredient compliments each other. The English muffin and crispy hash brown were perfection! The espresso was great. Tons of seating outside and options inside. The Wi-Fi does not work outside. Parking can be a hassle. Staff were friendly. Food came out quickly even though they were busy but drinks seem to take a while. Order at the counter, take your seat, and it will be brought to you. The ham and cheese pastry was good, the chai was alright a little bland not my favorite.
I was looking for a fun brunch spot to take my out of town friends and this place did not disappoint! Great food, drinks, and pink picnic tables! Highly recommend!
Delicious food and yummy drinks!!! This was definitely a cool, chill vibe to grab drinks with friends. The majority of the seating is outdoor and it has a fun backyard picnic vibe. Lots of tasty food choices, we got the hot chicken sandwich and the shrimp & crab risotto, definitely recommend both!!! Perfect for date night or chilling with a small group for a party.
Such a beautiful spot to hang with friends on a Saturday morning, take your loved one on a date on a Friday evening, or have brunch with family on a Sunday. Better Half Coffee is certainly one of my all time favorite cafes, and I’m so glad it’s in ATX! Lots of cute pink benches are outside, some beautiful seating inside, and free parking available. With coffee and cocktails, there is definitely something in the menu you can enjoy. Oh, wait, did I mention their food is yummy?
The breakfast sandwich has been my favorite in Austin!!! The coffee is super good too. The patio is perfect for groups. Highly recommend this place.
If you're looking for a fun place to go with a bunch of friends for drinks, this is a great option. The food is delicious and weather permitting, it's a great place to hang out.Be prepared to wait for any food though and with sporadic timing, when I went we waited about an hour for 4 of our meals, but the 5th took another 20 minutes (everyone else was just about finished), despite being ordered at the same time.Maybe the food preparation time is less on other days, but with the number of seats available, you'd think they would be more efficient and get the food out faster.
Not sure how this place has 4.5 stars, and I’ll explain why. We came here to get some dinner and drinks, you first order inside and then you can find your own table either outside or inside, it’s up to you. When we were ordering our cashier (because this is a counter service) Jackie, was one of the most unfriendly and unpleasant people I’ve ever met, she never greeted us and never even looked our faces she was just AWFUL, I felt extremely unwelcome and disregarded. We sat inside because it was very packed outside and we couldn’t find a table, no biggie. We sit inside and we noticed that the napkin dispenser says “no laptops at booths” which is kind of funny because this a coffee shop, I’m sure most people would like to come and sit here to get some work done while they either eat or drink. Weird. Talking about drinks, they were just meh, nothing innovating or different, I felt I was drinking at dirty 6th just paying west 5th prices. We ordered queso and for a minute I thought I was eating cheese whiz with Smokey brisket and pickled red onions, the consistency of the wheel was thick and weird, again, just meh. The entrees were good but not good enough to make me forget how awful their customer service is.Sometimes trying a new place is not only about the food and drinks, but about the service and the experience.
This places features one of the best burgers in town. Great outdoor space right next to a brewery, to boot! One of those places that is great for breakfast and lunch, but also for evening hangouts with friends/family. Don’t pass up the cauliflower tots with beet ketchup. Sounds weird, maybe, but they are arguably better than the French fries.
Consistently bad service. Good food. Ordered take out brunch and it was awful.
