While I will say the food is great when it is right, they have on multiple occasions (and the last time for me.) Given me shellfish when I ordered vegetable meals. And while I only have a mild allergy to shellfish and even then generally only noticeable when I have consumed it directly... someone else could be way worse. Keep this in mind when ordering: If this had been a one off situation I would not have written this review.
Wow!! Wow!! Wow!!I’ve been searching all over town for honey glazed chicken like this.I’ve picked up a few times for other people in the past but never tried it my self-I ordered today on door dash after many years of living close by. I’m in shock! Food was so fresh, chicken was extra crispy, the plate was displayed beautifully. You can tell they care about their food here. Will absolutely be a regular from now on!Thai Tea is amazing and fried cheesecake is delicious.
Food delivery person here. I usually don't mind coming here, but when I came in Tuesday (4/19/2022) the owner/maybe manager/older Asian gentleman was arguing with one of his female staff *VERY LOUDLY.* There were probably 4 or 5 other delivery guys behind me. As soon as the man finished mowing down the poor lady, he stepped up to the counter & asked us one-by-one if we were there for delivery. As we answered yes, he ordered us to move aside in a very disrespectful & authoritative way. We all had to then wait in a small area (not able to social distance) for our customers' orders.Between the man's attitude & his treatment of female staff, I'm seriously considering reporting them to the company I work for. But I figured the public has a right to know too. Especially if they're treating their pick-up customers this way.I won't be back. Life is too short to be ordered around by strangers while trying to do your job. ✌️
I ordered wonton soup, crispy tofu, and kimchi fried rice.Food could have been better; soup was good. The crispy tofu was so bland that it was just tofu with zero seasoning. If you are looking for some flavorful appetizers, you should avoid this. The Kimchi fried rice was okay. The rice and veges didn't blend well; it was more oily. The kimchi is a bad choice for fried rice, kimchi flovor doesnt complement the dish. I saw big round carrots here and there in the dish. Overall, it's not a great dish.Service is good; accidentally, I dropped my purse and left, but the service person secured it and returned it to me when I came back.
I arrived at this store to pick up a clients order, there were two other DoorDashers ahead of me when I came in who asked about their orders and I then asked about mine when they were done. The staff gave them the food promptly and they were on their way no other questions asked. When it came time for my order to come out they held me up and were scrutinous that I was even a DoorDasher because I was still in my work clothes. They made me show them all through the app and my name and that I was actually DoorDashing and wouldn’t let me take my clients food without asking multiple questions and making me go through the app. They did not at one point stop the other 2 Dashers, but instead just handed them the food with a smile, I got dirty looks as soon as I walked in. I’m in the top percentile of DoorDashers with nothing but 5 star ratings so this stung a bit and wasted about 10 minutes of my Dashing time which I’m very on top of making sure my timing is perfect. Will not be ever coming here for food or to pick up another order. Extremely unprofessional and discriminatory place, most other restaurants I go to know me by name by now and give me no problem but this one I haven’t ever gone to decided to look down upon me as a person.
If you have special dietary restrictions and crave some Chinese food, THIS is the place for you!Whatever your request, vegetarian, vegan, gluten, MSG, they can whip us a tasty dish in minutes. Staff are extremely knowledgeable about the food and sauces and can work with you to get you exactly what you need. There are a few other chinese food places nearby, but if you care about what you eat, you will be doing yourself a disservice if you choose them over Bamboo Bistro.
The Pad Thai was really bland. It also had some weird crunchy thing in it that wasn't supposed to be there. They also require you to purchase an apitizer with every single entre when you order through Door Dash.
I paid almost $50 for the food in the pictures I've attached minus some eggrolls that I didn't bother with because the rest of the food was so bad. The wings were maybe boiled first? Really rubbery. The General Tso tasted burnt. The noodles were not good. Not sure how this place got 4 stars overall but the food was terrible and I feel like I wasted my money.
Lots of vegetarian and vegan options! Only thing is that they only provide like 2 pieces of broccoli when that’s stated as a side. Super amazing tofu in all of the different sauces. Perfectly crispy and a huge portion.
I moved to Austin in June and could not find any Chinese food that was as good as home. I tried so many places. Last week, I found Bamboo Bistro and WOW, this reminds me just like home. Best in town! Also crab wontons are to die for!!!
