I stopped on the way back from a hike and decided to try it for dinner. They were kinda busy but knew the service would be a little slow. I ordered the Balkan burger and it came out pretty quickly. It was a very tasty burger. The mixture of beef and veal was perfect. It was not dry and came with plenty of veggies on it and a large helping of fries. Loved the garlic mayo which added more flavor. Burger was juicy and I used plenty of napkins. Highly recommend this place. Will be back.

Great little bar and grill with a Mediterranean theme. Food is better than your typical bar food and they have paninis which are some of my favorite. The service is good and it feels like a local pub. I have two volleyball courts in the back and plenty of parking.Support your local North Austin establishments. This is a great spot that does good business and has been around for a while.Stop in and see what I gave it five stars!

I had left a positive review but have since had to change the tone.As of February 4, 2022 I've had to change my review of this place. The staff of the restaurant is in constant change and despite it not being busy it takes a good deal of time to get food and drink. The owner also chose another group over the group I had gone with for almost 5 years. I understand it's about money...but faithfulness and spending a good amount of my personal time and money should have counted for something. We have since left Balkan and don't have any plans to return.

Tol;dr no yogurt??? ?Came here mainly for the burek (with cheese) and shopska salata but ended up getting more cause the burek is relatively small and treated as an appetizer. The salad was great. So the burek was Ok (not like home sadly) but I was surprised there was no yogurt (it's not in the menu at all), they only had sour cream. The waiter told us multiple people have asked for it, so might be a worth investment. We also got the burger with fries, and palacinki as a dessert. The fries were nicely flavored (with paprika I think) and the palacinki were nice and filling. The place itself is pretty cool, they play Serbian folk music in the background (narodna muzika).I'd come back once there's yogurt

I don't know where to start. Service was horrible. Young guy that works there should never work with people. Don't know his own menu. Don't remember orders, and kind of rude. Super slow, I waited for 1 hr to get cevapi. Food was coming like from Amazon, every 15 min one dish. So we as family couldn't eat together. They definitely need to hire better personnel. FOOD: so, so. For kids fish and chips very poor, gulas comes only with stew, no bread or something else so u can combine with it. Shopska salad vegetables were not fresh. Burek was made in the morning and when we arrived around 6 pm they just warmed up so taste was bad. Better that they have Burek only in morning when is fresh made. Cevapi, meat alone was delicious but bred really bad. So overall bad. I drove from San Antonio just to try it and left with bad taste.

We got Turkish coffee and dessert! Cute place. Was nearly empty Sunday around 1.

Fantastic. The pork loin was so flavorful. The bread and spread was incredibly fresh. The desserts were phenomenal

Food and drinks are great! And had vball courts in the back with lights and music!

Great Serbian food, cozy atmosphere, polite and fast service… Owner of the place is amazing and nice…Good experience and recommend to everyone to give it a try!

My husband used to come here years ago, and we just revisited tonight. Just as good as we remembered and definitely recommend their rakia cocktails. Really delicious food just as we remember, and good service.
