Came in tonight as a first timer to this location. Wanted to try something new. As a VERY LOYAL Amy's customer I was disappointed to see them distribute tastes to customers infront of me and then report to me that they were not doing tastings. They said that was just a one time error. After talking to my contact with Amy's, I'm even more disappointed to learn that such policy indeed does not exist.I'll be frank here, I do feel like they need a manager to actually work there and train their employees better.
Absolutely bad behavior by the staff, my baby wanted an ice cream so we went to this place as it has highest rating, we took one large Ice cream, they staff were literally laughing at our face for purchasing only one ice cream.prices for the toppings are clearly mentioned in the menu, but they were continuously telling us that it would cost extra for every topping I asked to add in the ice cream, it was like asking us if we could afford to buy . The staff spoke to us sarcastically and there smile was also sarcastic. Very unprofessional behavior. The ice cream got melted even before they served us. Never going back to this place again ?
My absolute fav ice cream of all time ever is Amy’s mexican vanilla ? love this location & people are always great
Always a solid choice! Good flavors, decent fold-ins. Their coffee ice cream is a good strong espresso flavor, not some overly sugared, milky Dunkin' sludge.

**Edit: look at your other reviews for my same topic. You have several people complaining about the policing of the lobby. Serve the ice cream and make revenue or just shut down.------I wish they had a 50/50 selection for reviews. The ice cream was great, a couple of employees were not so great.I get its still Covid. Everyone has their own pace for returning to normal. At this store, we arrived and walked in. We have a party of 10. The front of our line started ordering when two loud mouth employees started yelling at everyone to obey the sign on the door. I didn't see a sign. For the next several minutes they both took turns directing the guests. I finally reminded them that they were adults talking to adults and didn't need to shout. If something needs to be corrected, come out and fix it. It was a power trip, bossing others around was more important than dishing ice cream. If they were taking orders and not worrying about the traffic, they would have served everyone faster and cleared the store out. To enhance the visual, before we were able to pay, my ice cream was melting. If this was my location, I'd be furious.
Was a great place & they were very helpful & patient!
Tim was humerus, personable, interactive and magical. All staff were super fun and helpful. Service was very good and fast. And the ice cream of course is delicious.
I have been coming to Amy’s ice cream since I was a little girl. I’m an Austinite who is loyal to Amy’s ice cream. They have kept it real by keeping their original flavors that bring me nostalgic memories. I do miss the employees doing tricks while they prepared your ice cream but grateful they are still thriving. If you are in town I def recommend trying any of the Amy’s locations.
Will not ever come back here again. First off they require masks, but don’t advertise as a business choice but rely rather on illegal mask mandates. Then they tell us our party of 6 cannot be in there because they only allow 7 people in the shop. As soon as the other party leave they let in another group which put the total to 10. I’m not sure if they had something against non Hispanics or not but it was pretty dumb to be lied to. As far as the rest of the service, we had to correct the order at the end because they didn’t put it into a cone like we asked for. The Mexican vegan ice cream was good but the cookie was pretty terrible.
