This place is so hyped, so I had very high expectations when I first had their ice cream. Nevertheless, it was disappointed. Frankly, there are much better ice cream shops in ATX, than Amy’s. There is legit nothing special about their flavors, or experience of getting ice cream at their shop.
Not all flavors maybe available due to demand. So have a backup in mind.Portion size are tiny, small, and large. Tiny is more than enough if you're trying out a flavor for the first time.Expect a line and wait up to 10-15mins during peak times.
I have not words to describe these ice-creams. I heard that every American ice-cream is too sweet but thankfully it was not the case. Anyway the level of sugar was great and the flavor was amazing. I followed the suggestions of the staff and I did not regret about it.
It's a really popular place. We (3) had to wait in line for 25 minutes for their ice cream. It was really creamy. We had 1-cookies and creme and 2-vanilla cups of ice cream. It was way to creamy and sweet for us. The servers there were quick and very friendly. I would definitely like to go back again. It was a good experience and next time I will try something else. The chocolate probably.
Absolutely delicious ice cream. Would definitely recommend to stop by and grab a cone!
Loved it! The line moves quickly and there was a street musician on the corner while I waited. So perfect! They had about 15-20 flavors of ice cream but had tons of topping options and several unique sundaes.
This place appeared in all the posts about desserts to try in Austin. Kind of lived up to the hype. Although found the Mexican vanilla flavor (their most popular) to be avarage. Fireball was amazing as well as the seasonal chocoberry.
Kindness beautifully decorated South Congress tiny spot open until midnigh! best Sweet Cream experience.Amy's ice cream staff exceed any expectation you got about a great ice cream. A must go!
Everyone has their own take on frozen dairy. This ice cream is better eaten with an actual spoon than the plastic they provide, because of how thick it is. Not the thinner milky soft serve type, but the thick gelatinous type which can also be very tasty. Their flavor selection at the time of my visit was solid, but not the wild creation type that you see at other places. This one is more traditional but put together very well. 5 stars
Tasty icecream, great service, nice selection of icecreams
