The food was HORRIBLE!! The manager, Chris, attitude matched the food. Our waitress was helpful and none of our issues had anything to do with her. But apparently she took it personally and started crying. We were told thats why the manager was so AWFUL!! Although I could hear the waitress complaining about us to the other staff we still tipped her $20. When we arrived they informed us they were out of 3 different items. That was okay, but the food we ordered was cold, hard, and just nasty. I know the staff was stressed, besides being without 3 main items, they ran out of clean plates and apparently silverware too. Our silverware was dirty and they had to bring us plastic. At the end when we asked for the manager we were told he had several stores and they didn't know when he would show up. The young lady said she would comp our bill which is not what we wanted. The manager showed up with a HUGE attitude. Instead of being helpful he blamed us for not speaking up earlier. He started snatching our dishes and then refused to give his name. We did eventually get his name from someone else. CHRIS THE MANAGER IS HORRIBLE!!

Pros: the burger and fries were edible but not great. (Bun was stale. )Cons: Beware!! I waiting in a line with 5 other strangers to be seated starting at 11:50am. Though several servers and bartender saw us, no one mentioned if we should wait or seat ourselves. After seating myself 10 minutes later it took OVER AN HOUR to receive my food. Important because 1) WTH at any restaurant but AT AN AIRPORT? I fortunately had plenty of time for once but I saw several people get up and leave or try to chase down a server to ask for food to be cancelled or boxed up instead of served at the table. I received no server follow up to see if I needed anything (which I did- ketchup was totally out etc).Only stop here if you have PLENTY of time and patience. Never again.

Ordered breakfast platter with medium fried eggs. They were delivered snotty and I asked for them to be recooked. James who took our order confirmed was submitted correctly and advised his manager who came to look at runny whites and says the cook told him that is medium. I’ve been eating my eggs medium 67 years and whites are cooked on medium. Manager Chris was rude but finally agreed to have eggs recooked. When he returned with them he was condescending and holding the plate like a server and said here you go ma’am and laughed at me.This person is not manager material but bartender James should have that position. He was professional throughout the discussion. Chris did comp my breakfast at end but damage was done. The star rating is only for James kindness. Make him your manager.

We had a long layover in AUS and were looking for a sit down restaurant to pass the time. We saw 24 Diner had an open table and decided to give it a try.My normal scale for restaurants is lowered when inside an airport because generally they’re all pretty bad. 24 Diner was a surprising exception to this rule. I would come back to 24 Diner if I have to spend some time in AUS again.I ordered the Fried Chicken sandwich which came with coleslaw on top and some French fries. The fried chicken sandwich was crispy and surprisingly delicious. The fries were fresh and crispy. I would recommend 24 Diner to others looking for a good bite in AUS, located near Gate B11.

I've eaten here twice and haven't been disappointed. We had a very long wait for a weekend afternoon even though not all of the seats were being used. The food is worth the wait though.

May be a good idea to let your guest know if you are out of an item they ordered before the entire table is done eating their food. I waited thinking it was just taking too long. Apparently the item isn't even offered anymore.

Been to this place twice in the last year when flying through AUS. Food is meh. Service is worse. Everyone was polite, but exceedingly slow even when I told them I had to leave for my flight soon. Last time I ordered a beer and a grilled cheese. Grilled cheese came after 20 minutes, and beer only came later. I told my waiter I had to leave soon and he said that someone "is working on the beer" (it was a tap beer). It wasn't clear to me why they couldn't just pour the beer and give it to me. The people next to me had the same issue with their Margherita.I didn't make a big deal about it and still tipped well since I understand that most food service workers aren't coming in right now. But this is an airport and people are in a hurry. When someone orders a drink, just give it to them without the needless delay.
