Our food was extremely salty. It was spoiled by too much salt. There is not as much filling inside the chocolate piñata. No strawberry sauce anymore. I don't think I'm going back. El Fenix is a hundred times better than this place at half the price.
Its a very fine mexican restaurant. Totally impressed with the ambience, usually full so better make a reservation.. The food is pretty good, we enjoyed our lunch on Easter here.. They have a dessert called chocolate pinnata which is worth trying for their presentation.. We were just the 2 of us so it was too much for us but if you are a group then go for it and break that big chocolate ball.. They also have a wide variety of tequilla, 40 different brands as of what i remember and different margritas as well.. They serve wine, beer, margarita and tequilla..
First time I've ever had cilantro rice where the cilantro was just chopped on top of flavorless white rice. Thank goodness for the salty beans to mix with the rice for flavor. Boring beef tacos. Salsa and chips were good. Hard little churros. Lackluster fare, not worth what they are charging. For these prices it's better at Pappasitos.
10/10 stars. Orlando was the sweetest waiter ever and was so helpful . We came here to celebrate my mom finishing her radiation therapy for cancer. I originally asked if they could sing a song or something lol but instead, the manager gave my mom a chocolate piñata on the house and wrote a heart warming message. She will never forget this day. Big thanks to the crew of Uncle Julio’s in Arlington, TX.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but Uncle Julio’s Mexican Restaurant sucks. Tawannah Peckins and I have gone there at least 4xs and have never had a good experience with either the food or service. It was so bad we had to return our meal tonight and leave without eating. The closing manager told us that they were out of refried beans and then just blended the charro beans and pushed that off as refried, not thick just blended soup. We waited over 45 minutes for fajitas that came out wrong, in a restaurant that was dead. Then we complain and the manager did not seem to care. Come on with prices they charge they should be top shelf but this chain is worse then dog food, “gag, gag!” The whole chain is awful.
This was our first visit at this location. I was so impressed. We got seated right away and immediately our server (Carlos) came over and told us about the lunch drink specials and took our drink order. All workers were wearing mask. Very nice and large location, they also have outdoor seating. We ordered shrimp fajitas , fish tacos, with a swirl and regular margarita. All were fantastic. Our server was great even though he was working multiple tables. Very attentive . Would definitely recommend and will be back.
You can't come to Texas and not enjoy Mexican food. The chips & salsa were really good.I ordered ground beef tacos, hubby ordered steak tacos. Both came with rice and Ranchero beans.Everything was really good.Service was very good as well. Our server was attentive and nice. ?It's a busy place so you may want to call ahead to reserve a table.
This is THE premiere Mexican food MUST HAVE MUST TRY go-to chain. We had some food catered at work and the quality is so far above anything else out there. They warned me that it was going to be good and I didn't believe them. When we came into the restaurant our service was outstanding. The chips are incredible, salsa is legendary, tortillas are outstanding, and the ground beef has layers of flavor. Don't be like me and miss out for years.
The food was good. The drinks were good. The service was absolutely terrible, I've gotten better service from a self check out. Our waitress took our order and that was the last time she came to our table until we asked for a check as she walked by. Halfway through our meal I had to go to the bar to get a refill on soda for my wife, because the waitress couldn't be bothered. If your looking for good food for take out this place can give you that but if your looking for an enjoyable meal I would recommend anywhere else.
At the invitation of a friend I came to Uncle Julio's for the first time and I leave totally disappointed. We sat at the bar and from the first time we asked for the service of bartender it was terrible. You could tell from her body language that she was in a bad mood. We asked for our drinks a second time and again they treated us rough. So we are finishing our drinks, we go without eating and for my part it is the first and last time I come. I would definitely not recommend them to my friends. When working on people, customer service goes above any rush or internal problem. The customer deserves good service because we pay for it. If you do not want to work with the public, stay at home and there are many people out there willing to serve in a good way. And to business owners, most businesses have to close due to poor service from their employees.
