Damon and his crew are the best. Clean and well lit. The smell of fresh bread and fresh veggies is amazing. Most every grinder is an original and crafted with care. Bring the family and treat your friends. Ya can't go wrong with downtown Arlington's premier sub stop and shop. Tin Cup is a hood favorite and rightly so. Local owned and ran. Bless em!
If you want to have a sandwich but not the same old thing, give this place a try. They have a lot of new ideas and best of all, they work, i.e. these new sandwiches they came up with taste great. The quality of their product is impecible. i.e. the cheese, meat, bread, everything is of the highest quality anf fresh. The only issue is cost. They are very proud of their product and they are obviously in a location where they can get away with a $12.50 sandwich lunch + tip.
Wasn't so sure about this place based on the pictures and the location but it was 100% worth trying. The place looks sort of deserted and empty but the food is actually amazing. I got two halves of a sandwich each for 6 bucks, each comes with potato sticks(which I thought were fries but with a funny name) but are actually like potato chips but tiny little sticks. They also each came with a chocolate chip cookie which I really appreciated as I have a sweet tooth and want something sweet after I eat. The sandwich was so good, a little small for me but tasted fresh. The mayo, the vegetable, the meat, everything was very well put together. If you're iffy about trying it, wing it and I'm sure you won't regret it!
Absolutely stellar family restaurant! This is exactly the kind of unique spot that you'd find out about from locals and never pass up. Their sandwiches, while not photogenic, have a great flavor and are always filling. The real weakness of this restaurant is its very limited hours - really it's only open from lunch to late lunch. Otherwise, a fantastic place to grab a bite and right next to UTA campus!
Lovely place to eat. The sandwiches are delicious and customizable and to make it better, Tin Cup has never once gotten my order wrong. When I order in store or online, it's always 100% accurate. Speaking of ordering online, their online ordering is great. The website is easy to use and they usually have my order ready within 10-15 minutes. The staff is always so friendly. The little free cookie they give you with each order is so much better than you think it should be. Overall, this is a wonderful spot for lunch.
I came here regularly when I was in college at UT-Arlington from 2000-2006. I'm so happy to see that they made it through the pandemic. Their food is still as good as I remember, and it doesn't seem like they cut any corners or cut their quality. Still as awesome and simple as I remember!
Great atmosphere and service. The place was clean and the food was wonderful. Will definitely visit again when in Arlington.
Favorite sandwich! My husband and I have been coming here for years now. Never disappoints. We don’t even live in Arlington anymore and we drive down occasionally for this sandwich. I always recommend to all my friends and family to try.
I came in for lunch. I ordered the Ruben and a cup of broccoli cheese soup. My order came out in two parts. First, the soup came out. Second, the sandwich came out. The sandwich came out with shoestring fries and a cookie. I'm not a fan of shoestring size fries, and that is a personal preference. Both were delicious. If I lived closer, I would come here more often.
There's always that ONE thing you reserve for yourself that relaxes you and stimulates memories of calmer times. For some people, its bubble baths. For me, it going to the Tin Cup. UTA students who worked for me introduced me to this hidden treasure. Everytime they come to town or suggest we get together for lunch, they always know where I want to go. The service is always prompt, the employees are accommodating and friendly and the owner always acknowledges us. The paninis are my favorite, but I also enjoy the salads and soups. There's always a sizeable crowd, but I'm impressed with the promptness of service. I love this place!! There's a lot of loving that goes into that business. Be sure to include this on your list of places to visit.
