My mom is obsessed with carrot cake and in her usual fashion, randomly called me up to find and bring her some on a Thursday afternoon. I googled places in my area and Sugar Bee popped up. I stopped by and like most people, I value the impact of initial presentation. This place is GORGEOUS! It was quaint, clean and just had the most precious aesthetic. The cashier immediately greeted me and asked me how she could help. She asked if I had ever been and advised me of the cupcake “happy hour”. This clearly influenced my decision to buy more than I needed and/or what I came for, but, I digress. I ended up grabbing the hummingbird and vanilla cupcakes and the carrot, almond and strawberry champagne cake balls. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! That almond is toooooooooo good. My mom is a pretty harsh judge when it comes to her beloved carrot cake and she was blown away. Everything was packaged perfectly; prices are in line with what you would pay anywhere else. Customer service was great which is paramount to me. I will be returning!
When I planned my first wedding for a couple a decade ago, I used Sugar Bee Sweets. I knew that when I got married, I wanted their delicious cakes for my own wedding. The at home cake testing box made for such a fun date night and their team was so knowledgeable and helpful during the ordering process. Not only did our cakes look exactly as I had envisioned, but they were so tasty! I especially recommend the almond cake with raspberry buttercream filling!
Sugar Bee Sweets made sure we had the best experience during our cake tasting (even during 2020) and their flavors were amazing! We took home our leftovers from the tasting and my sister ended up falling in love with a cake flavor and knew then they were the baker for her wedding as well! We ended up going with a regular 3 tiered cake and a sheet cake to get in an extra flavor because we couldn't decide. Leading up, they were prompt with their communication and made sure everything was still accurate. Day of, they were on-time and arranged the fresh florals we had left on our cake and it was better than we imagined. We had so many compliments on the taste and had several people take home extra! A year later and we are super excited to get an anniversary cake from them of one of the flavors from our wedding.
Sweet Bee’s Cakes & Desserts are very good! ….However, my negative review is due to customer service - I was a repeat customer looking to Sweet Bee for my wedding cake (about 14 months in advance) and was told to reach back out to them closer to the date.When that time had came, I was told that my week was fully booked. As someone who reached out more than a year in advance, I should I have been contacted at some point in time prior.It’s 2022- shouldn’t the inquiry form software update the business owners of request made months before the need date?As a business, your job to compete for the customer’s business/dollar - not the other way around….I’ll be recommending other locations to others instead in the future.
CUTEST bakery ever! Very clean! We loved the treats we ordered and took home more cookies for later, too. Staff was super nice and even gave us another cupcake and cookie free of charge because they were messed up, or not as pretty. Still delicious! We thought the decor was really cute, too. We loved our visit to Sugar Bee!!(Extra cupcake and cookie aren’t shown in the picture :)
I really wish I could give Sugar Bee’s 10 stars. We ordered our wedding cake from them and entire process was ridiculously easy from their cake tasting boxes to the ordering. We chose an almond naked cake with raspberry filling and we received so many compliments. Everyone loved it. Now that the wedding is over and that cake only exists in photos, I find myself making excuses to drive 45 minutes from Denton to Arlington just to buy their yummy sweets. Everything they make is delicious and the staff is so friendly. Sugar Bee’s is a gem.
Wow. Just wow. From inquiry to quote to pickup. I sent a picture of what I wanted for my daughter's 4th birthday and they literally got it perfect. Amazing experience and delicious cake. Thank you so much for making her birthday so special. She LOVED it!
Super lovely and helpful staff. I ordered a birthday cake from this bakery via e-mail as I don't live in Arlington. Communication was prompt and thorough and my cake turned out exactly as I envisioned. The only critique was that the filling used for the bottom tier of the cake was way too bitter/tart. This was quite disappointing as it meant more than half of the cake was pretty much inedible. I'm not sure if there were issues or if this is the normal recipe and just not to my family/friends' tastes. Either way, it didn't work for us. I did however, try some of the cupcakes while visiting the bakery which were fantastic, and my top tier was lovely as well. So, the advice I would give if you're ordering a custom cake or a cake in general is to arrange a tasting prior to selecting your cake/filling if you can. I was unable to do this living out of state but am sure this would have remedied the issue and made this review 5 stars rather than 4.
From our first tasting, we knew that not only was the cake delicious, but that your team was incredibly knowledgeable, providing guidance on size, tiers, multiple flavors, design etc.The cake looked great on the wedding day and we've received nothing but glowing feedback from guests on how great it tasted. We were sent home with plenty of cake from the venue enjoy it for many more days :)Would highly recommend!
Our cake was the star of the show! Not only did it look amazing, it tasted even better. I have shown up to countless weddings where the cake or frosting end up being dry. Ours was perfect! The staff at Sugar Bee Sweets were amazing and effortless to work with. And their coffee products are legit!
