The wife and I haven't eaten out in a long time. Seems like these days, more often than not, the service stinks and food is just as bad. Decided to run into Spazzio's just because what the heck. Very happy we did. We both ordered a pizza and had calamari for an appetizer. Both were outstanding and the service was just as good. With 2 beers, glass of wine, and tip we spent 100.00. So its not cheap but at least it was very good.
First time here and it was pretty good!! I got the Caesar salad because I wanted something fresh and my husband got the Penne Arabiata. He really enjoyed it, even though it’s a tad spicy, which he didn’t mind! I enjoyed the salad a lot because the dressing was a bit different than most Caesars and had a sweetness to it. The bruschetta was super yummy! The service was good on a Wednesday evening around 5:30pm and we enjoyed our servers. The only thing is the price - it’s a bit pricier than we’d like but it was good! Would come here again more for a fancy dinner than a causal night out.
This was our first time here. We’re from Philadelphia and have eaten at many fine Italian restaurants. The food and atmosphere were superb!!! Everything was cooked to perfection! I had the salmon with veggies with basil pesto, and it was absolutely delicious! For dessert, we shared the lemon cake. Lola, our hostess was so friendly and accommodating. We will be coming back tomorrow night! I saw that the restaurant has won awards for best restaurant 4 or 5 years in a row! Anyone who wrote a bad review must be crazy! Please try this place. It’s awesome and so is the music!
We try to order from Spazzio's weekly, as they have been nothing short of perfection every time that we eat from here. We order take out weekly, and if you enjoy spicy pasta then the Penne Arabiata is for you. Perfection yesterday. Super fast and the crew is very nice every time we've been inside. Hard to find great quality Italian food, so thank you all a ton for making Spazzio's apart of our life.
Our server Gina was great - attentive without being intrusive... but that wasn't enough to redeem our first and last visit to Spazzio's. The food was ridiculously overpriced, undercooked, under-seasoned and completely underwhelming. The booths still sport the Double Dave's brand, and honestly? Double Dave's had better pizza. This restaurant has been gussified but they're proof you really can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
Amazing food and service, Lola is a great server
It breaks my heart to write this but here goes. My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant since we first started dating. We’ve celebrated many occasions at this place and tried continuing that tradition last night. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. My husband, Erik, made a reservation for 6:45pm on Valentine’s Day. He specifically asked for a booth on the phone and the lady said yes, you will get a booth. When we arrived, EARLY, one man walked by and said he would be with us in a moment. The manager (the woman my husband spoke to on the phone) said, “Y’all had a reservation for 6:45? You’re late.” Actually we weren’t late, no one was at the hostess stand to help us when we arrived. She also couldn’t find the reservation because she wrote Frank instead of Erik. Not our fault. Thankfully she had his phone number. She then told us we had the choice of two high tops. Erik told her no, you said that we could have a booth when I made my reservation. She said “no, they are reserved for old people and I would never tell you that you can have a booth.” There were booths available but she chose not to give it to us because we are young. She also stated that people who walk in are priority over people who make a reservation. What?! I’ve never heard of such. If a person takes the time to call and make a reservation, we should be priority over someone just walking in, especially on Valentine’s Day. It saddens me that we have to stop coming here. We loved this place but we will not be treated like this. She could not have been more rude to us. We ended up walking out and going to eat at Grace in Fort Worth instead. We had a wonderful time there. You lost loyal customers who were willing to drive from Fort Worth to eat there. Learn how to treat your customers. We weren’t late, my husband’s name is Erik, not Frank, and just because we aren’t old doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be able to have a nice dinner in a booth instead of being uncomfortable at a high table at your bar.
The rudest dining experience of my entire life! This was the place that my wife and I had celebrated our engagement,a number of Valentine's Days, and a couple birthdays. Tonight, on Valentine's Day, I had a reservation for a booth. The manager was extremely rude and disrespectful as they refused to honor their own words. I was shocked at the way I and my wife were spoken to by the manager. My polite questions were met with disrespect and contemptuous tones. I still cannot believe the way we were treated. Unless you feel like being talked down to in the most obnoxious and pompous way imaginable, avoid going to this establishment.
Located in a small strip center. Pleasant interior with tables and booths . The food and service were good ! The wine is a little pricy but recommend this restaurant for Italian food lovers!
Just finished eating at Spazzio’s and the restaurant is beautiful inside. Very nice decor and lighting. The salad with the house dressing was very good and the calamari was delicious. The only downside for me was the lack of flavor in their penne pesto pasta. The sun dried tomatoes were little gems in the dish but the chicken and sauce were very bland. I would still highly recommend the restaurant but I would definitely order something different next time. My husband’s Spaghetti and meatballs were very good he said.
