It’s not terrible if you eat inside here. You might think with outside signage and parking spots marketed towards to- go that the service would be ok. Not so much. Food wasn’t ready, couldn’t find our order. Told we must have ordered at the other Arlington location. Wish we had btw. Went back to car to get the confirmation. Showed the confirmation. Looked confused. Talked to the manager. Said they weren’t told they had an order. More waiting. In fact we’re still waiting, we’re pretty hungry so if you see us there please bring us Abuelo’s.
Great location.Great food.Great table service (his name is Brandon I think), minus the front hostess who seemed didn’t like her work. She doesn’t greet us and doesn’t smile. Just a cold ‘how many’. It was odd so I paid a bit more attention and yes, she gave the same treatment to 3-4 other groups of diners when they walked in a span of 10 minutes.Maybe she had a hard day or something. Hope it is better for her tomorrow.Anyhow, it is a festive feeling every time I at On the Border, maybe due to their music and decors, and lights.Gracias!
Review 2022- I really want to support OTB, but service was not up to par. Items where missing from my meal that I had to ask for. I ordered sopapilla's for dessert, yet the waiter brings them out while I'm still eating my entree. The group behind me had words with the same waiter. I've never seen a person dine and dash, but I saw it. A lady at the bar, barely touched her food and alcoholic beverage. I could tell she was also annoyed by the waiter so she just left. When I asked for my flour tortillas I received cold ones. This was the first time this has happened and all the yrs I've been going to OTB. I feel my waiter took unused tortillas from other tables. Note: I visited around 12-1pm on a weekday. I saw many men with briefcases coming out from the back. They looked like managers/corporate. If so it's crazy that this was the worst experience I ever had from OTB. BTW the waiter said her name was Emma.Review 2021-I dined in today and enjoyed a great meal. OTB did a great job with social distancing everyone, but I do think the hostess needs to be more welcoming. They were only opened for an hour and she already seemed annoyed and ready to go. However, my server Emile did a great job like always.
I love On the border I just don’t like this location. Placed a order online and it included drinks. I arrived a few minutes after the promised time. Grab my order and noticed it didn’t have the beverages I paid for. Young lady at the to go stand, told the bartender that she needed the drinks made. Ok no problem. The to go host even got the cups and tops ready for the guy. At this point the host tells him again and even goes up to him to exchange words. Still after all this time passed guy never moved to make a drink. I understand being busy but this guy just wasn’t trying. I confronted him about it the guy said he had 5 other tables. Well I bet they wondering where they drink are too! I just asked for a refund….Because he wasn’t making any until I said something! Waiting 15-20min for two rum punches….And the chimichanga I order was hard I only ate the insides.
Lonnie provided great service! The rice didn't have a good flavor. The Chicken Burrito, Beans, Chicken Taco and Chicken Enchilada were delicious!
Food was great! $5 margarita was excellent. Server was cool cool. Salsa has a real nice spicy kick to it.
OTB appears to have made changes limiting wait staff. This location takes it to extreme. This location is always stretched. They have run off enough customer, you can get a table fairly quickly. Still, you are going to wait to get your food. Whether you will get what you ordered is iffy. Amazingly, I think we got most things accurately this visit. it is good enough we will stop in about twice a year. We usually travel to a further location for better experience.
I went to this restaurant and was denied service from Mike and a cashier. I was trying to place a to-go order and The Manger told me to wait I waited for 10mins I still couldn't place a order ,I rung the bell again, He then told me he is busy ,I then asked for the Number to the store manager he give me his number and tells me bye and calls me a ugly Black lady ... I will be contacting corporate
The food was good. The service when leaving was poor. We had to wait 30 minutes to get checked out due to waitress talking to other employees that were off the clock.
Wow! This location has been able to hire staff it seems. Courtesy and great server. Fresh hot foods. We usually arrive between. 3 and 5pm to avoid crowds.
