The food was not bad and the server was attentive. What upset me was that they already charged a gratuity on my check ,but didn't realize it until I got home. I was there to meet a family member and catch up, so I didn't really get to look at my check since we were in a deep conversation and I added a tip, when I got home I finally had time to realize that I paid $45 before tip for 2 meals and how that seemed pricey and I checked my receipt and they had already charged me a tip. The receipt I signed says gratuity, not extra gratuity like it should clearly state when one is automatically charged!
The great ol’ Oldwest Cafe of Arlington! This place never disappoints and the earlier you get here the better. Anytime after 9AM and you’re probably waiting in line for a table.Our waitress Logan was amazing, kind, helpful, patient, and hard working. Ask for Logan when you arrive here!Got the Bambino Burrito which was delicious. You are able to add up to 4 “fixins” for a very great price. After waiting for about an hour we were sat with good service provided going forwardFood was on point and I will go back to try other itemsBurrito with hashbrown, bacon, egg, cheese, sausage, ham, cheese covered with quesoHashbrown casserole and strawberry cheesecake stuffed French toast all was very goodOnly thing that was noticed not only was gratuity added but an additional few for using my debit card instead of cash
I'm surprised by the great reviews, maybe their breakfast is good? No idea. I was craving a diner style club sandwich with a big helping of fries. We waited an hour to be seated only to find out they don't have club sandwiches anymore. So I ordered the chicken fried sandwich. It wasn't bad, small serving of soggy AF fries, seriously the fries tasted like they warmed them up in a microwave from frozen. Definitely was not worth the hour wait. I'll just go to Jimmy John's next time.
So I have always seen this cafe and never made time to go until I invited my wife to join me for breakfast. I had read that the portions were big, well, those reviews were not kidding. Pancakes the size of the plate. And when ordered, they gave us options of which pancakes. Of course the specialty pancakes are extra, but worth asking for. Bacon, thick cuts and crispy, but careful with the coffee. This day it was strong, not that it's a bad thing, just depends on how you like it. Go early, gets full fairly quick and look forward to going again.
The best breakfast place ever! I always order the mugwump its sooo delicious the food is hot and customer service is excellent! Please don't ever change your attention to detail. Sometimes there is a wait especially on the weekends but it is worth it!
One of the best places for breakfast in DFW in my opinion. Wonderful chicken fried chicken and eggs. Some of the best pancakes I've had. Banana nut pancakes are the best! I'm allergic to banana but it's worth it ?
The food here was absolutely delicious! I want one of these restaurants in my town. Every time we visit Arlington, we will come back. If you are planning to visit this place do not be in a hurry if there is a wait. Waitress also nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Sorry about the photos I started eating my food before I took the pictures. Oh and the French toast is the best French toast. And the smoked sausage and the thick ham. Oh just everything was delicious! Added bonus bathrooms nice and clean. Thank you old west. Next building project San Antonio!
I hope the food is worth the wait. After a 35 minute wait to be seated and then placing our order, we received our drinks then were told that our order will be out in about 45 minutes due to the understaffing problem. It would have been nice to know that before I placed my order....PSA...Oldwest restaurant needs to hire some more cooks!
