The food was excellent. Loved the kolache!! Tender and flaky! Try poppy seed sometime!!! After touring the castle, we had delicious sandwiches from the bakery!! Bread was excellent too! Stop - don’t drive on by!!!!

We came in nearly at closing time and had a turkey sandwich on sourdough. It was extraordinary. Everything was fresh, the service was wonderful and it was even better than we had hoped. Of course we did not leave without stocking up on some of our favorite pastries we shouldn’t be eating . They were also excellent. So happy to see that others reviews and the reputation we’ve heard verbally was right on. Looking forward to going back having a nice lunch and then touring the castle.
I was looking forward to this castle, however, it seems that the owner (Newman) is not a huge fan of kids. He does tell stories but he was extremely rude to the kids. While I was there, the daycare kids had a field trip and Newman pulled one of the kids by the shirt. He told my kids to shut up in front of everyone and was very rude after that. He told them to get where he said to get (behind the trees because he was launching something) but he just didn’t want them to be together. Just make sure not to talk while he talks, otherwise… good luck! No social skills and no kindness to kids. He even told an elderly lady something rude because she couldn’t really hear. He tried to argue with an adult when the lady told him that his mother cannot hear well. Then he said, well she can read then signs then. Overall, we are paying for good customer service, if he doesn’t like people then he shouldn’t open up his castle (home) to anyone. Yes, you will get lunch but be aware of his treatment. Will not recommend and will never return! Plain Rude! Food and cookies are not even good! The bread falls apart while you are trying to eat the sandwich. No wonder he lives alone! And I’m sorry but he smelled like armpits, please shower Newman!
Delicious fresh cookies and mini-pies! Loved the lemon meringue and the quirky large gingerbread man! The Castle was a fantastic place for a photo shoot and very reasonably priced! Thank you!
My sister and I went in to buy some cookies but it was the lunch rush. I stood in line for 25 minutes. There were like 6 employees there but only 1 taking orders. It was ridiculous. The employees were talking among themselves and not focusing on the customers. It seemed there was no one in charge. Everyone was doing what they wanted to. I'm not sure if I will go back.

Our Server/Bartender Colby was a very nice,respectful,and most of all a very hard worker was so busy but still went out of his way to keep up with all his tables plus his Bar happy. Was upset at first because the host at the front door was so,so rude almost left so we went to set at the bar area and thats were we met Colby. Need to hire more people like this young man Colby especially at the front door to replace this hostess.
