Hadn't been to Gloria's in a LONG time. (Pre COVID) We were going to be in the area at around dinner time so decided to eat at an old favorite. (As in Bishop Arts original location old favorite.) We were seated immediately and, while they were busy, there were plenty of tables available. They had a sign up saying that the patio was closed due to being short staffed but who wants to sit outside when it's over 100 degrees! The dining room is one big open room so there was a lot of background noise. It was hard to have a conversation so I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic evening or a business meeting. But it was lively and bustling and that's good to see after what COVID did to the industry. My wife started with a Margarita. They don't do a happy hour but the price was reasonable and it was very strong. They don't skimp on the alcohol. She said it was good but she couldn't finish it all since she was driving. I love the pupusas so I ordered them for an appetizer. There are three to an order and you can get cheese, pork or a mixture. I thought I remembered them being about 3-4 inches in diameter. What we got were three large saucer sized pupusas. (See the picture I uploaded.) They were as good as I remembered but we couldn't eat much with having entrees coming too so we brought them home for another day. My wife had the spinach enchiladas. They came with rice and beans. She likes spinach enchiladas so she orders those a lot and said these were very good. She could only eat about half of them (generous serving size) so she has another meal for this weekend! I had the cheese chile relleno with rice and beans. I always order chili rellenos when I get a chance. This one was good and my only suggestion for improvement was that it should have been cooked more. Part of the pepper was still very crunchy which I didn't care for. Our waitress was very good though she was very busy. The chips were good, the black bean dip as as good as ever and the hot sauce deserved that name. Pretty spicy but that's the way it should be. Overall, we're glad we went and that Gloria's made it through the pandemic and is still serving great food.
The rain was pouring and we found our way to Gloria’s in the Highlands. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was tasty. I had a Chile relleno with beef and my date had the pollo asado combo. We had a nice time. Our waiter made sure to keep our waters topped off and we appreciate that.
When we first walked in the restaurant, the hostess greeted us with a smile. We had the chips and salsa before ordering our lunch. The chips were warm and the beans were hot. Then we ordered the chicken flautas; which was crispy and hot. They came out really quick; they were absolutely delicious. Our waitress greeted us with a smile and she was courteous and polite. She also checked on us a couple of times during our meal, then she refilled my drink twice. I would recommend you trying this restaurant because the good food and the kind people.
Went in for Father's Day and I took my dad, we were greeted at the door with a smile and welcoming, our food was delicious very well prepared, I ordered the grilled chicken, our waitress new the menu and answered all our questions.
Went with my mother in law on a Saturday, was very busy, however the server we had served us in a timely manner. I had the A La Mexicana and just about finished my plate, it was spicy and flavorful, IN MY OPINION, I’d give the spice level a 3.8 out of 5. I left there full but light, where I didn’t feel groggy. (If you know what I mean) and she had the Carne Flameada that plate as well was devoured! We will definitely be back!
We had never been to Gloria’s. What a great find! I had the shrimp enchiladas. They were so good. The best sour cream sauce I have had topped this dish. Great service. Yummy black bean dip and salsa started the meal.
Friday night ? lights!! We back outside ? ?! Had to catch up with my cousins. We meet at Gloria's just to get out for a few. Saw a lot of familiar faces while I was there! The food was tasty and hot!! Just like I like it. Ohhh the MARGARITAS ? MARGARITAS ? !! ??
I love Gloria’s and this one must have hooked up with speedy Gonzalez! Everyone was on the Go Go Go but in a good way. Arrived around Brunch time so it was semi packed. Hostess with the mostest was wheeling and dealing them tables. The chips guy was on it boy I tell ya he was slanging them chips and salsa like no other. Now our server Melissa she wasn’t playing no games! We had a party of 6 gave us the run down on the brunch menu. Shout out the the bartenders and cooks the drinks and food was on point! If you sign up for Gloria’s email on your bday you get a flan. Now let me tell you about this flan. I’ve never been a big fan of flan but this one right here was so silky, milky, smooth just melted in my mouth I got greedy and didn’t want to share. Gloria’s never disappoints.
The margaritas are delicious! The fajitas were seasoned perfectly. Bartenders and other staff were very attentive and polite.
I've never been to this location however, it was great quite intimate setting in a big dining room. The waiter was very attentive. The wait for the food was not long at all no more than 20 minutes after we got our chips, and salsa and the delicious black bean dip. Our food came out. My partner was happy, so was I. We will return for sure and I will have pictures! Sorry folks, I was famished by the time we made it there.
