Super fresh! Amazingly delicious! Fantastic service! And huge portions! Even the manager was walking around assisting the waitstaff, refilling cups, and delivering orders.I'll definitely be back!
Exceptional value and delicious traditional tex-mex food. I occasionally go somewhere else and spend more. I am rarely more pleased with the food.Service here is variable, depending on the server. I think they don't have a very good system of training and supervising their serving staff. When you find one you like, ask for them next time.
I took my mother for lunch. Was sat down as soon as we entered, no problem. Unfortunately, the waitress assign to our table told us twice she'd be with before disappearing for a while. Customers at two other tables who came in after us were served their drinks, their complimentary salsa & chips and order taken before our waitress showed up. The only reason that happened was because a mgr at the door to the kitchen saw my frustration and I saw he flagged her down when she passed by him.I was greatful we were sat in front of the kitchen entrance because I we were getting ready to walk out.Will definitely not be returning to that establishment.
The food is delicious but the service we had was atrocious. Our server didn't bother refilling any drinks (even the water). Margaritas were advertised on the menu as coming with a salted rim with lime (standard for margaritas) but did not. On the plus side, the Dos-a-rita came with a lime & a full-size bottle of Dos Equis.We waited so long for everything we were there for over 2 hours. They weren't super busy and other diners came and went with decent service from other servers, but ours was awful. We ordered sopapillas but after waiting nearly 30 minutes for them we ended up flagging down the server & asking for the bill. He immediately brought the sopapillas. I'm not sure we'll be returning here.

We eat here a lot.This is the Mexican Dinner, which has 1 cheese enchilada, 2 tamales, rice and refried beans.
This has nothing to do with El Phoenix, it has to do with the outside of the restaurant. Recently me and other people have been a victim to car robbery’s, while eating here you can sometimes find broken glass from a car on the parking spots due to robberies happening while you dine in and aren’t watching your car. No matter if it’s a busy night or empty they will break your window and take what they can and leave and they target any car that looks to be valuable. Food and service here is excellent but it lacks security, though they have a sign claiming that there is video surveillance? Just be careful when dining in here park as close to the restaurant or under a camera to avoid being robbed.
I highly recommend El Fenix in Arlington. We were there yesterday for lunch. The place wasn’t to crowded. Got seated immediately. Polite, friendly hostess and our server was great. I give the food a triple A+. I suggest the El Jefe. I will be going back!
Amir our waiter was Excellent. He was so patient. The food was excellent and the customer service was Great!!!!
