If I could leave no stars, I would. We were seated, got our drink orders and placed our food orders, a party of 5 and 1 child. All simple orders, nothing complicated. We waited a whole hour, didn't get anything, no biscuits that I asked for twice. Five separate parties of 3-4 were seated all around us AFTER WE GOT THERE, got their orders taken and then got their food within 15 minutes, and then ate and leftall before we still didn't get our food. We ended up leaving WITHOUT FOOD. I tried to get the attention of other waitresses, but got blatantly ignored. We will most likely never EVER go back to this Cracker Barrel again. LEFT EXTREMELY UNHAPPY.
Had not been to CB in a while and I was pleasantly surprised by the service. Breakfast is outstanding, they offer value-price lunch menu (special of the day). Overall good experience and our waiter, Vanessa, was great. Had an issue with the payment and the General Manager solved it with a good attitude (which is not the case in many other places).
I was told how awesome the food is here at Cracker Barrel but I think it was just ok. My meal was the Southern Fried Chicken and while it was decently tasty and fresh I couldn't help but think of how to improve all the aspects of my meal to make it truly amazing. My chicken was slightly overcooked, the hashbrown casserole was missing the whole reason you get hashbrowns at all, the crispy crunchy fried potatoes. And the country mashed potatoes needed more butter, milk or sour cream to get them smooth and on point. Maybe I am being too critical but there was a lot of hype going into this meal and I was a lil let down. Bottom line for me is would I go there again based on my first experience, for me it's a NO. I should have gone to Texas Roadhouse where I have always been impressed by the food and service. I am sure Cracker Barrel is popular but maybe only with the old folks.
Cracker Barrel makes great pancakes. I love the syrup. The ham is that good old fashioned ham. I love the different choices that they have, if you are inclined to try and eat healthy. The lunch and dinner portions are almost enough for two people. You get kind of a old fashioned experience when you eat at this place. I always sit in the rocking chairs outside after I finish eating.
Love this location!!! Customer service is always great!!! The food is always delicious and Fresh. We drive almost 25 minutes to this location but it is worth it.
Bowen Store in Arlington. Everything was great-wait time, serving time, food quality-until I spotted lip marks on my glass. I didn't have the presence of mind to take a picture four years ago when the SAME THING happened at the Desoto store. But I did this time. The server agreed it was nasty but no apology was uttered....only offered to take the drink off the ticket. I told the manager who said she was one of his most tenured and trusted servers, yet he didn't offer to refund either. He didn't appear to be a little bit indignant about it. No more CB for me.
Love this local option to grab home-cooked options for our family. Breakfast any time too. Good value option for all with pretty quick service.
