A rare gem! not many "local flavor" restaurants around anymore and these folks have been dialed in on awesome food as long as i can remember. Give em a try you won't be disappointed. I have even had an opportunity to get a full inside look into the kitchen (i used to be a refrigeration tech) and i can affirm this is one of the cleanest kitchens I've ever seen, they're truly by the book 100% with procedures of quality, taste and freshness. This is an iconic restaurant i hope will be around for years to come.
Hadn't been here in years and I've been missing out! The food was great. Fried Shrimp, Fries, Pickled Okra, and Pickled Tomatoes were the best. Our Server Mary was awesome and very attentive while checking on us frequently. Will definitely be going back soon.
The food was great...really loved the pickled tomatoes! But we were a large group and had to wait more than an hour after we ordered which was about an hour and a half after we entered the restaurant. And we DID have reservations!
Have to go back and try another dinner! Everything was great and tasted awesome. Our server was so sweet. Got the four mini catfish dinner. When I say everything was great, everything was great! 10 minute wait around 6:30pm. Very tasty. $14.99 pre tax. For what you get, it’s a good price. Oh, and the rolls are PERFECTION with butter. So fresh and hot. The butter melted perfectly. Thank you!!!
Met up with my brother and sister-in-law last Friday. They all had fish or shrimp. Since I don’t eat fish, I ordered the grilled chicken, it was delicious, and I brought half of it home for lunch the next day. One member of our party is gluten free, and they are able to accommodate. Rolls, baked potato, rice, hush puppies, slaw, beans, onion and pickled okra, all of was wonderful. Strawberry and watermelon margaritas were amazing! Great service, highly recommend!
This is my first visit here, and my experience was great! The atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was flavorful. The abundance for the price was decent, so I couldn't eat it all even though I tried. I was able to take a to-go plate.
Best Catfish around! They make you feel like family. Their margaritas are exceptional as well. They aim to give the best service. Their staff have been there for years too! That says a lot about a restaurant when you see the same faces working there everyday.
Really great catfish. You know that crispy outside cornmeal crunch, not too heavy and hot moist inside kind of taste. Just the right amount of salt, yummmmm!! Some of the best I have had in a long time.
Our first visit to this restaurant. We ended up here by default and my husband and I are both glad we did. You get a true full serving of everything. The fried fish, shrimp and burger steak were delicious. I was even more impressed with the extra sides that come with the meal. Pickles, onion, okra, beans, coleslaw, hush puppies, a roll and TOMATO RELISH??...OMG!!! I even enjoyed the Pina colada although I didn't taste much alcohol...it was was still delightful. We can't wait to visit again!! Which will be this weekend for our 23rd anniversary!!!!
