The food is over-cooked and now it just sits on the serving line and that's not good for seafood. This is our second time and it happened before but we gave them a second and LAST CHANCE!!!
Love their frog legs, they are meaty. The catfish is well seasoned. Give them a try if you are in the mood for frog legs or catfish. Place your order ahead of time, they are always busy
Been looking for a good place to eat catfish. A friend suggested Bayou Cat. I was not disappointed at all. The fried oysters and fried catfish were amazing. Granddaughter loved the grilled cheese sandwich. Along with food being good the facility was clean and the people were very nice. I will be returning.
We arrived about 7pm and ordered 3lbs shrimp, 2lbs crawfish, potatoes, corn, and family 12 PC. ($100.00) The price point is fine if the quality matches but it does NOT!! The shrimp is so overcooked you can't even peel it, it's just a stringy, mushy mess. We requested extra butter and spices but it was DRY! I read the reviews and I was hopeful it would live up to the expectation but it just isn't up to par. I'm really shocked that so many people like this food, apparently they've never had seafood from Dallas because I could name 3 places that put this establishment to shame with their seafood. Definitely won't make that drive again I'll just frequent spots here that may be more pricey but the food is SPECTACULAR because I assure you Bayou Cat is NOT where one goes for good seafood!!
We went tonight and were so disappointed. The shrimp is overcooked and stringy ? $100 WASTED....Stop letting these people who like bland, dry, overcooked food persuade you to go here!! It's NO GOOD, go to Dallas for seafood...it's 3 spots over here that never disappoint! Lesson learned!! I rather pay more and get great quality than do this again. ???
Just a all around great place. The food was the best Cajun food I have had in town. ??
eating my oyster Po boy from Bayou Cat and one of my oysters had a sharp piece of fried shell that felt like it cut my tongue in the back almost swallowed it gag it backup ??? WARNING‼️ ⚠️⚠️ ⚠️ BE CAREFUL CHECK YOUR FOOD FOR BEFORE YOU EAT IT
The crawfish here is so good but expect really long lines and very limited seating. Went during a hot day and the indoor dining didn’t have adequate air conditioning is my only negative feedback.
Best Crawfish this side of Dodie's...I mean Dallas!!! Paid $4.99 a pound, and no that weight was not inflated by corn or potatoes, that was all Crawfish, you can pay extra to get them sides though. Great Flavor & not too spicy. Served Hot & Fresh! No wonder there were lots of LA plates, emblems and Cajuns all the way outside the door!Oyster Po-boy was dressed & good... would be better with a true French Bread (*my only complaint if you want to call it a complaint...but this was the only time in 22 yrs I was OK with settling for non-French Bread). Will be back again!!! But want to turn up the heat next time.Kyle
Great food. Great prices for the quality of food. Always a line but moves quickly so you know how good the food is. They get your orders in and out quickly and they give discounts for military veterans. The poboys are really good. I had the catfish filled kind but now I have a GO TO seafood joint.
