I went to this place for the first time yesterday and it is incredible. Don't be alarmed by the huge amount of cars: they have plenty of space inside and their wait staff is fast and friendly. Bring your appetite, because you will leave FULL. Their omelets and pancakes are so so good. If you wander into Amarillo, get your breakfast here.
I honestly don't know how the reviews for this place are so high. Our meal was awful. I got the cheeseburger (which was fine, honestly), and cheese fries. The fries weren't fresh, and they obliviously just threw some shredded cheese on top and put it in the microwave. So the fries were a soggy, greasy mess.My husband got the chicken fried steak, and it was equally bad. The steak was tough, and the breading was not crispy at all. Just mushy. The service was really good, though. And they have complimentary desserts. They had banana pudding today, and it was actually not bad.Maybe we ordered the wrong things?
Wife and I found this place on internet. We are out of towers. We tried it and love it. Very friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was hot and delicious. The place was busy but Waite staff hustled to keep up. We would return again given the opportunity.
Best Chicken fried steak in the planet! They use a cubed ribeye! Real homemade mashed potatoes And real cream gravy made with the drippings. They also give you homemade banana pudding with your meal. Forget the big tourist trap on the highway, this is real Texas beef.
Found this local GEM while traveling through town! This adorable Diner is clearly a community favorite, with lots of space to accommodate. The food tastes homemade and the prices are great! Our server, Heather, was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was welcoming and, for the out-of-towner, gave a quick glimpse into the conservative Amarillo culture. A kind 91 year old man even struck up conversation with me on his way out. It’s places just like this that make me love my Texas. ❤️☺️
Thanks to Stephanie's recommendation, we stopped in for breakfast on our way out of Amarillo. Breakfast burritos are good and the pancakes are delicious. My favorite was the perfectly cooked bacon, yum!

Great service! Our cups are always full, the food is great and the service friendly. What a way to start your day, head over to Youngblood's cafe for authentic Southern hospitality and great food.
Ordered the 8oz ribeye. Was informed that the price had gone up from the menu price of 15.75 to 18.75. I asked if it was a good steak, was told oh yes! So I ordered it medium rare. It was super thin and fatty and had no taste and was more like a medium well. I think it was like a skirt steak or something. Moms burger was good she said. Overall very disappointing for me. Won’t be back.
Absolutely awesome food, service and quality of both food and service were top notch Our waitress “Stormy” was excellent and very professional We are never ever disappointed when coming here, we always leave pleased and full They also have a fantastic gift shop It is definitely worth the drive over here to eat here every time
