Chile verde burrito yummmm
Traveling through Amarillo and looking for Mexican food and found this place. And it was pretty good. Plus they sell homemade tortillas. I knew this place was going to be good bc there were several people ordering food. I ordered the Chili relleno burrito with beans, it was excellent. The homemade tortilla took it over the top, very good.
Love stopping by at least once when in town visiting family. Forgot to call in & order ahead. But even so we only waited 20mins this time which wasn't bad at all IMO considering your getting fresh made to order. Definitely will be back again & again.
Lupitas is excellent, almost always, top notch, and a definite must; however, this review is about the recent tamales we ordered. The store bought grainy out of the flour bag masa was a complete disaster. The meat had no flavor or seasonings, totally uncharacteristic of Lupitas. It's like they got tired of making tamales that day, or they subcontracted the work to Taco Bell. I love Lupitas, my whole family loves Lupitas, they just had a terrible day. I'll be back, I'll continue introducing people to this place. Food is part of my love language.Extra, Extra, Read all about it...Prices have Sky Rocketed! No longer worth the value. I stand corrected.
Excellent Chile Verde! The way it should be… nice and spicy. A definite little hole in the wall but definitely worth a try if traveling in the 40 through Amarillo,TX. We wanted Tyler’s BBQ but they were closed. So glad we decided to try this place. They also make flour and corn tortillas on-site. Perfect for our burritos.
I use to stay in Amarillo so when I travel here stopping here is a must. You can not find Chile verde anywhere else like this. I best restaurant hands down!
Chile Verde burritos and asada tacos are the best I've eaten. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. I go there 4 or 5 times a week.
Best chili verde in Texas I prefer this location over any spot in Amarillo as well. Hands down this place is a must to eat
As always, great food at a fair price. The family owned business might be slow sometimes, but the food is worth a bit of a wait.
This is an experience, for sure. It gets very crowded in a small space, but for good reason, the tortillas are excellent and the food, like carne asada or chile verde, are very good. It's hectic inside. As a first timer, it's intimidating. But, push through, you'll be glad you did.
