The Plaza will always be our go-to for our big family because they never fail to try to accommodate us. Our server, Mateo, was super busy with other tables and other big tables and he still did his best to be friendly and attentive. It was graduation night on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend and it was CRAZY, but it was also my daughter's 20th birthday and we wanted to surprise her with a family dinner and cake, etc. The food was great, even with complicated orders, and the mangonita (i think that's what Mateo suggested?) was delicious!! Thank you, Plaza!!
Stopped in based on a friend’s recommendation. Good menu and a wide variety of options for food and drink. The complementary chips and salsa were fresh and not too spicy ?. Recommend
Usually it's great. Sometimes you get waitresses that are great and some not.We ordered a shot and it came half full and asked what was up with that. She carried it around the whole back kitchen and the whole restaurant and brought it back trying to say it was a double shot glass.........it wasn't. Even if it truly was I don't think that's proper restaurant code of conduct.Ah well better luck next time.
Food very tasty. I went for lunch and had the enchiladas combo. Good portion of food. I was happy with my experience there. Staff very polite. You have to go check them out for yourself. I believe you will enjoy
We went to The Plaza on 5/10/22 and I have to say it was great. We walked in the door and the restaurant was very clean (first thing I look for). All of the servers looked neat and tidy. Our server, Rafi, was excellent. He was pleasant, efficient and funny. The food was really, really good. I had cheese enchiladas that were the best I've had anywhere. My husband had the shrimp enchiladas and also said they were top notch. We also had the chili con carne dip - again, awesome. So overall I highly recommend. If we are ever in this neck of the woods again, this will be a stop on the list!
I might be a little biased because I prefer authentic Mexican but If you like Tex-Mex then you will probably enjoy this. For this type of food I do prefer Abuelos. They have a nice bar in the restaurant.
This place is now our go-to eatery in Amarillo! The food here is excellent and the portion sizes are very big too. The chips and salsa are good and they even have a full bar. The staff is very friendly and helpful when navigating the large selection on their menu. The food is Mexican/Southwest, but they mix things up just enough to make it better and tastier. I have no reservations about recommending this place to anyone who likes good Mexican food/drink and appreciates good service.
