Last week, I drove by Amarillo and visited Pho 84. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. The service was poor, the washroom was not very clean, the food is pricy, and the quality is average. I don't know how this place has received a high Google review score, but I have been to way better Pho places in Texas.
Tbh i haven't had to much pho in my life but from what i could tell the Brisket pho was "phonomenal";) The menu was a little pricey but what can you expect in todays age.
This was a great stop! I ordered the Brisket Pho and it came out hot and fresh, the plate of vegetables to dress the soup was fresh and plentiful! The only thing that wasn't worth giving a 5 Star review is the service was a little bit slow, they may be short staffed, but it was slow none the less. Overall great food great quality and great portions! I would recommend!
Wasn't terrible! I got the gyoza and my friends got brisket pho. The gyoza were pretty good and the pho was decent according to my friends. Service was slow, but overall not too bad.
I really like this place. The pho is delicious and I have had the vermicelli also. I think I might have even had one of the sandwiches along the way. One of my favorite things is the Vietnamese coffee. It isn't cheap but it is so delicious that I order it anyway whenever I get in there.
I would only just give this place 2 stars because of their food but everything else was horrible. The service is horrible, they charge for every little thing and plus the prices have went one up by $3 a plate no matter what you get. And it's not on the menu, you only see it when you pay your bill. And I asked the lady why is it a lot higher, she said that the prices went up but they haven't got the new menus but they don't tell you how much the foods are when you order them. And I think paying $20 for a bowl of soup it's too much.
Food is good. Pho is very savory. Everything seems legit. One lady, who appears to be the owner does it all up front, so have patience.
I am a huge Pho fan and have tried many Pho places over the years due to living in a big city in Phoenix Arizona. I drive through Amarillo, Texas to get to Kansas every few months, so when I was driving through Amarillo on Saturday the 23rd I decided to give this place a try due to the great reviews. When I received my Thai Tea and No-Meat Pho, I was instantly disappointed. First, the Iced Thai Tea did not taste like an Iced Thai at all. It had a funky taste to it that did not reflect any Thai tea taste I have ever had before and tasted very low-quality and cheap. Secondly, the Pho had a similar aftertaste and did not even taste like a normal Pho broth. I am unsure if this had to do with me ordering a "no meat" Pho option where the restaurant changed the broth for anyone who is vegan/vegetarian but nonetheless it did not taste good. I am very surprised and disappointed to write this review due to the many great reviews, but then again, a small area like Amarillo may be unfamiliar with how Pho is actually supposed to taste. I highly recommend to anyone reading this review to try Pho and Thai Tea in a bigger city to give an accurate reflection of what it's supposed to taste like.
Best Pho in Amarillo! I call this place a hidden gem! If you was amazing pho this is authentic. They have more than one choice like so many other places. I am partial to the rare eye of round. The portion is generous, you won't leave hungry!
First time here and food was outstanding!!!! Had two meat Pho, the proportions were great!! Service was outstanding!!! Found my new Pho place!!!!
