Wife and I stopped for supper. Not at all busy. Seated and drink order taken promptly. Server did his job but that was about it. Not particularly friendly or helpful when questions about the menu came up. Seafood and fettuccine entrees were both swimming in sauce. A bit too much oil on both too. Bread appeared to be oven baked on site, but cold. Pre-made salad that had wilted a bit. Probably won’t stop in again as it was also pricey.
We had an excellent waitress this afternoon around 2:30. She was so kind. The food was amazing. I was going to take my left overs home with me. I had had an injection in my wrist. She saw I was having problems getting the food transferred to a carry out. She was there immediately and said let me help you, then she cleaned up the mess I had made on the table in the process so I would not get it on my clothes. She went above and beyond. I wish I knew her name. She was awesome. Thank you. And again the food was amazing!! Love this place.
We are visiting from Denver City,Tx and decided to try local. Napoli’s definitely delivered. Great drinks, great food!
Went there for the first time a few weeks ago. A quaint little place downtown. Very nice decor, nice Italian music. The garlic knots they bring out before the meal are very tasty! The service and staff were great. Good marinara sauce! Had the chicken alfredo, which was very good. The Italian creme cake was wonderful! Would like to go back again next time I'm in Amarillo.
Walking in here was like stepping into a 90s Italian restaurant. The style of food seems that way too. Prior to going I looked at pictures of the food, and avoided the pizza (which didn't look very good) and avoided any pasta with cheese on it. It looked like they drown their dishes in cheese, which is gross to me. They bring out bread to your table, but the dough doesn't seem very good quality... Like it reminds me of frozen Pillsbury dough, but not sweet. They were pretty bland too, and the marina for dipping was also bland. I ordered the penne ala vodka. The sauce itself had decent flavor, but it was a little runny for that type of sauce. Also, there were tiny bits of ham in it. I looked it up and apparently some people do that in vodka sauce, but I thought it was weird, haha. Based on all this I would've given 4 stars, because it was fine for what it is, but I went to the bathroom partway through my meal, and the smell was horrendous. There was a stench as I approached the hallway of the bathrooms that would have ruined my appetite if I went back there prior to eating. I literally had to plug my nose while I was in the bathroom because it made me gag. I have no idea if this is a one-time problem or what it was, but it ruined the rest of my visit as I couldn't eat anymore after that. No one was sitting in the section that was closest to the bathrooms, so I'm sure that's why. The smell wasn't sewage-like, but it was really bad. All that to say, I won't be returning.
Traveling on Greyhound and only a short layover, I called and ordered food from a very friendly gentleman who understood my rush. With a very short walk from the bus station my food was ready. I was able to get back to the bus with a few minutes to spare.
???? I have never been here and I must say Delicious!!! Stuffed mushrooms, calamari were on point....??? pasta for days...I love it! And I had some Italian margaritas ?....omg! They were soooooooooo good . Only took 2 and I was out....lol? I will for sure go back...
Best italian food hands down! My fiancee and I drive up from Austin every year just for Napoli's. The service is friendly and the food is hot and fresh. Fettuccine carbonara and veal parmigiano are favorites and definitely recommended. Even comes with fresh hot garlic rolls and marinara. Strange to see all the negative reviews, they must not know good food. Must try!
