Been in Amarillo for 37 years and Donut stop is a part of many a day in that time. Love the fritters and chocolate cinnamon rolls.

Another great visit to the donut stop. Everything in the box was so good. Coconut cake...crisp and delicious. Cinnamon pullapart, so tasty. Great maple glaze! Clerk was friendly and helpful. Told us we could get a sixth donut free. They are not known for their coffee, but don't miss these donuts. Great product, great value.
A very clean shop. The donuts of great quality. Price was nice.
Absolutely delicious ?
On my recent Amarillo trip, I decided to give something that looks distinctively local, and I selected Donut Stop to try their sausage kolaches. After stopping at the Wolflin Village location which didn't even have the kolaches (and I wasn't really in the mood for donuts), I was directed over to this I-40 location. The service was not very welcoming at this spot, but the lady behind the counter did show me the actual location where the kolaches are stored. I had ordered two. When I got into my car to eat them, to my disgust, the sausage did not have a very good taste at all. The amount of breading was fine, but the sausage was not smoky at all, and I wonder just what kind of meat actually went into that tripe. After three bites, that was it. I threw the rest out. Makes me wonder now if I should have just stuck with having to just get glazed donuts instead. Forget it. Donut Stop may be a longtime Amarillo institution, but it clearly has shown that it doesn't do kolaches well. Thankfully, there are other places for the next time around.
Nice people, great donuts, clean place!
Best donuts in town!
Don’t understand why people in Amarillo love this place. I’ve been to several locations and their donuts always taste burnt/over baked. Their kolaches aren’t great either and makes me miss donuts in central Texas
Good donuts and the employees are always very nice and friendly.
