We were just spending the last couple of hours in Amarillo before flying home, BBQ sounded like a good option for lunch and we found Crazy Larry's. We got there just after it opened for the day and noticed there were no cars in the lot, worried us enough that we looked for other options as this place didn't seem to popular. As we were in the lot, several cars came in and it started getting busy. We again chose to eat here and am very glad we did! It was wonderful! There is plenty of parking outside, the grounds and interior are kept very clean. Upon entering we were greeted by none other than Crazy Larry....He is not crazy, he is very nice and takes great pride in the quality of his product and making sure you have everything you need. The food is great, the quality of the staff equals it! We had a wonderful lunch and talked a bit with the staff, then off to the airport and home. We enjoyed Amarillo and will certainly be back and this is a required stop for us! Highly recommended and well worth the stop.
Nearly every single time I eat at this establishment I am greeted by the owners and they are some of the most polite and friendly folks in Amarillo. Look no further for the best bbq in the city. The food that comes out of here is absolutely on a level of its own. Their apple pie dessert topped off with vanilla ice cream is the perfect cure to this summer heat.
What an amazing barbeque place! The sausage and roast beef were out of this world!!! You must try the baked beans and Mac and cheese!!! The potato salad was also fantastic!! Larry and his wife made us feel like family!! So grateful for the time spent there.

My review focuses on two amazing side dishes: the Mac & Cheese and, I swear, the Baked Beans. Larry's recipe for M&C stands out with diced sweet red pepper plus a delicious hint of fresh pureed jalepeno with only just enough backbite to mark its presence. I guarantee it will astound you! As for the beans, let's be honest: there are usually two types. Either it's out of the can with one special seasoning to give it the restaurant's signature (you know what I'm talking about), OR it's completely saturated with the chef's signature BBQ sauce (again, you know what I'm talking about). NOT LARRY's! I'm eating my gf's leftover baked beans as I type this and the taste is astounding. I note the hint of fresh pureed jalepeno, of course, but I also notice hints of unorthodox flavors including black pepper plus something else (perhaps a smoke?) I haven't yet identified. The key here is they don't just sign a can of beans nor do they smother it with a signature sauce! This is why you *really* gotta try the Mac & Cheese and the Baked Beans. Bon Apetit!

Fabulous brisket, turkey, Frito pie, chili, meat very moist & tender- not overwhelmed with smoke, really taste the quality meat! Large portions & friendly staff! Cobbler was warm & delish. understand why it was busy with locals! Definitely go out of my way to come back

Great hospitality and even better food! Larry personally greeted me as I walked in and after ordering, showed me the rest of the building! What a great place to have a nice meal! Highly recommended!
