We visited the Soncy location during the day this week. The food was amazing. We had the Crackn mild sauce and it was perfectly seasoned. Our crab, shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly as well. Our waitress was very attentive. The only negative was it was cold, we will go back but wear sweaters. It was pricey but was expected with seafood.
Response to owner:Thank you for responding, I didn’t realize there was a location on Soncy or that I was reviewing this location. It was the other location in town. I appreciate the immediate response and will definitely be coming to try your restaurant in the near future! Changed my review to 5 stars based on your timely response and because this wasn’t for your restaurant. I guess the other restaurant isn’t on google yet!Just tried it for the first time. There wasn’t hardly anyone in there eating when we came, we were sat and got our 2 waters, didn’t get the lemons we asked for. Then, our waitress Khin was more than awful. She was leaning on the bar drawing something with markers. The other table in there had a waiter getting everything they needed and we waited and we waited. I finally had to say “are we going to get waited on?” So she came and took our order, told her it was our first time and she wasn’t very helpful at all. We ordered $100 worth of food between 2 of us which is fine for a higher end restaurant, but the service needs to be there. There was 2 people waiting on tables and a hostess that was on her phone and could’ve been helping them. We get our food and didn’t get any butter. Also needed refills and new gloves and had to wait forever for her to take a big tables order and then go put it in instead of just grabbing what we needed real quick. We were last to get waited on. Food was pretty good but they need help big time. It should’ve taken about 30 minutes for us to eat but we were in there an hour because we had to keep waiting on her. Also, there was no management to be found to even try to let them know about the problems we were having. Might come back one day but it’s going to be awhile to give them time to get their kinks ironed out, too expensive for less than fast food quality service.
Absolutely recommend! Everything we ordered came out perfect. Nothing was over cooked and when they say a pound they mean a pound or more. The flavor and seasoning of everything was perfect. I have been places previously that the food was so salty and overcooked it was hard to eat. That was definitely not the case here. And to top it all off our server Josh was great. They definitely made us feel welcome and made sure we had a great experience. I couldn’t have had a better Mothers Day meal! If your in Amarillo and truly enjoy seafood! I highly suggest stopping in and enjoying this place.
Finally a great Cajun seafood place in town. They have great service and the seafood mix with crackin sauce is awesome.
I order 2bl headless shrimp bucket to go and it was great. It comes with 1 corn and 1 potato but I order 4 from each. It costs me 54. It fits 4 people. It was ready in less than 15 minutes.
Came from out of town and saw Crabs and was super excited. Took our 3 boys, they have diaper changing stations in the men's and women's restroom! Food was very good, menu was a tiny bit confusing but excellent time and great place to eat. I never thought I would get such good seafood in the middle of Texas.
If you want great Cajun seafood, this is the place ! The crab, shrimp, and scallops were outstanding. Waitress was very attentive. Would definitely recommend !
Good server. Oysters were cold and tasty, like sipping the ocean. The crab boil with corn was very good. A bit pricey but a great night out...
Party of 6, 3 adults 3 children (12-7-3) everyone really enjoyed it. Food was a little spicy even the mild for the 3 yr. old but 7 and 12 year old handled it. Fresh Seafood in the panhandle is expensive and you should know that going in but I though it was reasonable for what all we got. Service was good, they seemed to all help the customers as a team and to be enjoying their jobs. The wait for our food was about 35 minutes or so.We ordered 2 boils with snow crab, scallops and shrimp, 1 with king crab and 1 with Dungeness crab all of them had sauasge, corn and potatoes as well. These kids ate and ate and still took a small bit homeWe also enjoyed 4 cocktails (2 each for the ladies) and my son in law had 2 beersTotal 277 before tip. We will return for special occasions but a little to pricy to go to often for us anyway But it was worth the money for sure!
The scallops were cooked perfectly but couldn’t tell you how they (or anything else in our bag) tasted. Our boil bag had so much seasoning and butter it was muddy and weighed down leaving it difficult to taste any difference from the scallops to the potatoes. I would have preferred just the bag of plain seafood over this. $150 tab for 2 people that I feel would have been much better spent absolutely anywhere other than here.
