empty food trays, dried out food, poor selections and rancid salad dressing. since they change owners quality has dropped to zero. after tonight's disappointment we will never eat there again

The chef did a great job of cooking on the grill, and buffet food was also good (worth going back multiple times). And the best fortune cookies (for what they say!) we've encountered from eating at dozens of Chinese restaurants.

The meal was enjoyable. All of the food was hot& ready. The only surprising part was paying for your meal when you first walk in. The China Star in Abilene has never done this. The waitress was very attentive.

We ate here once,3 years ago. The food was mediocre.We decided to give it another try,on 04/07/22. It was worse than before.Some stuff was soggy,like they put too much sauce on it.Most of it tasted old.Even the fruit tasted rancid or old.It wasn't even 1pm, yet the food tasted stale, as if it was leftover from the previous day/s before.Our waitress was too busy chatting with the Cashier,to check on her tables.She came to get our drink orders,and never checked on anyone, until we were about to leave.Their food wasn't and isn't worth the $25 they charge for two adult buffets.

The staff is friendly and the food is not amazing but will fill you up, not much flavor but what do you expect when it's prepared in large quantities. The food trays were almost empty and were sparingly refilled. It's not enough for me to stick around and for the price you're better off going to a different place to eat. It's very spacious and clean but the food is nothing to write home about.

Worst $30 ive ever spent. Worst food I've ever had, nothing was fresh, nothing had flavor. When they did put out fresh food they dumped it on top of the old food.The only thing that was good was the coconut macaroons, I will never come back not sure how this place stays in business. My stomach started hurting instantly from trying to eat since you have to pay before you can get food other wise we would have just walked out.

This place went downhill. It tastes like old oil was used. Many of the food items on the buffet were old and not fresh. Most of the food was out for a long time. Disappointing.

We have eaten here frequently over the last 9 years. It has really gone down hill this last year. Every time we’ve gone in the buffet has hardly any food. There’s been multiple occasions the food is not cooked fully. The service is extremely lacking. We use to love eating here but definitely won’t be eating here anymore.

Food was not very good! Was warm at best!Fried shrimp was mostly batter!Noodles had no flavor!Over all I do not recommend this restaurant as 3.5 or 4 star. Will not go back!

We enjoy coming here normally. Tonight, we got there about 7 PM on a Friday night. Got to the table and had a lovely waitress who was super kind. We went and got the food and sat down at the table. The food was COLD. INSIDE THE RESTRAUNT WAS COLD. The waitress said she was sorry about everything being cold. She said she is always freezing when she is there. We got the manager and explained to him that we were not okay with the food being cold. His response: "Food cost is not cheap. It is very expensive."He then went on to say that they close at 8:00 and have to turn stuff off to start cleaning. To which I responded, "serving cold food and charging full price is not acceptable. Since I had no idea that the food was COLD until I sat down at the table and I notified the waitress immediately. Therefore I require a refund on my meal. My husband ate most of his food cold. We then left and got HOT food from another establishment.
