Classic West Texas Tex-Mex is the short review. I went there with a group of friends for a Friday evening dinner.First of all, I liked that there was an extensive a la carte menu. I enjoyed the cheese enchiladas with chili gravy. In full disclosure, if you like classic Texas chili -- these are your enchiladas. The enchiladas were covered in what's best described as the classic Texas bowl of red as opposed to a chili sauce. The chips are good -- and both the salsa and queso are good, albeit in need of more spice.The service was excellent, especially considering that we had a small group and spent quite a bit of time talking and getting to know each other. The drinks and chips stayed refreshed and our server was friendly and efficient.Definitely worth a return trip.
Good portions without going overboard with the sauces. The salsa was authentic - not overtly dense and dripping sufficiently to warrant a personal bowl.The Tacos Camarones had U30 shrimps and it was spiked at the right level even for those who cannot tolerate the medium level.The Enchiladas Pescadores had minimal cheese making it delight the palate.The Chile Rellenos was satisfying in all respects. Would have preferred U15-U20 shrimps for this fish.The Guerrero used grilled red snapper with a shrimp and mushroom sauce over a bed of rice and adjacent salad - truly overwhelming in taste and quantity.The staff regularly checked on our needs. Can't say much about local patrons but if you're visiting Amarillo and need a taste of family style Tex-Mex you ought to give this place your patronage.
Very nice lay back environmentWe sat at bar and lots of friendly staff as well as guest there.We are watching our carb intake and happy adjusted our dinner to fit our diet needs and everything was excellent.Ask for their green salsa which was delicious!
I stopped in 7p on a Tuesday even with a group of co workers. The place wasn't too busy. The decor is very nice. The chips and salsa they on the table were excellent. I've never had fresher salsa. It looked and tasted like they had literally just finished making it.I had a chicken chimichanga Supreme with beans and rice. Several of my co workers had the Carne Asade plate, the meat was nearly as thick as a steak. All the food bright and colorful, plus it was all very authentic and tasted excellent.The prices were reasonable. The staff were polite and professional. We had a group of 10 and they handled our orders just fine. I will definitely eat here again next time I'm in town
I have never had any problems here and the food has always been fantastic.However....this last visit bothe my friend and I decided to try their chicken tortilla soup. It was absolutely horrid. It tasted terrible and not the quality that we had come to exspect at Braceros. We both ended up with diarrhea. Now we both know to never have that meal again!!
During our winter road trip from Houston to Colorado we stopped by this restaurant referred by friends. We had a very good time, excellent customer service, clean and neat location. We had a table of 9 but we’re served in a timely manner. We found a very nice guys who we think might be the owner may be manager who took the time to help us get there and find parking spaces. 100% recommended.
Downtown Polk Street location was amazing! The Garlic Shrimp was legit delicious and perfect serving size!! And the Beef Quesadilla was THEBOMB DOT COM!! The waitress who recommended the meal was scrumptious (and professional) as well lol I don’t remember her name but it is Thursday Jan 6 approx 4:45 pm so let her know!
Everything came super fast and it was delicious! Definitely you should go if you like Mexican food!
Excellent service, there is this girl with red hair,,, didn’t get her name but she is amazing ! She is sweet, knows the menu perfectly, and is always on top of her game making sure her customers are 100% satisfied,,, drinks are the bomb..!! I love this places vibe … so far everything has been perfect , will definitely come back over and over again..
Love it! Can't go wrong eating at this place. Everything you order is good & so are the drinks.
