is my absolute favorite restaurant in Alvin. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Carlos my waiter is also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Alvin Texas .
Fast friendly service and tasty food. Enjoyed lunch # 17 today. A beef fajita stuffed avocado. Tasty and delicious for $10.95. Couldn't eat it all. Nice people. Nice decor and low noise level.
Mr. Sombrero has three restaurants in this area, and my family and I have been going to them for over ten years. They are family-owned and always have fantastic food and service. Tonight they had birria tacos on the menu and they were outstanding. Love their margaritas, too! You can’t go wrong with Mr. Sombrero!
Stellar costumer service, friendly family or solo environment depending where you sit.Bar area it’s great lots of televisions to watch a game or just catch up with friends.Love the openness of the bar area with big glass windows and outdoor sitting as well.Food was very taste, well seasoned and cook to perfection and they will make adjustments to fit your diet my husband and I are doing the Keto and they substitute rice and beansPlus we Micheladas are amazing!Yeas easily accessible and lots of parking!!One of my favorite places when in the area a must stop and eat!I try to add more pictures of inside but it was crowded and didn’t want to post anyone’s pictures for respect to their privacy!
The restaurant has a clean, spacious feel with a great atmosphere. The music was at an appropriate volume to provide a fun Mexican feel. There is a central bar with TVs and a few TVs scattered around the walls programmed for the sports enthusiast but the TVs were not distracting. The food was fairly priced, beautifully plated, and lightly seasoned. The food was tasty but the flavor isn't distinguishable from any other similar priced mexican restaurant. The menu is expansive with unique choices (I had fish enchiladas). The happy hour margarita has low alcohol content. The staff was great. I will eat here again to try the other unique items.
I absolutely LOVED the chicken enchiladas with green sauce. They should make this sauce a dip, or put it in jars and sell it!!! It is so delicious. I like that the chicken is shredded and seasoned well. The staff and service was excellent! They were very attentive and checked on us frequently!
Food is fresh and the service is prompt and friendly. Not what I would call "Mexican" food. It's IMO another Gringos or any other Tex-Mex restaurant. You're not going to get any homemade flour or corn tortillas or get swept back by tastes that remind you of abuelitas Carne Guisada. You will find the big screens and full bar of every other restaurant these days that cater to sports events and Thursday night margaritas.

Drink specials during the week. Not so bad. Make sure to ask for the green salsa... they will only bring the red. Cheese enchilada was pretty good.
We had their Valentine's Day special! Fajitas, beef and chicken, for 2. Includes queso, rice, beans, Pico de gallo, guacamole, tortillas, and for dessert, special sopapillas, with honey, fruit, and pecans. It was SO Good!!! We had the Mexican Guacamole as aappetizers! You have to try this over traditional American Guacamole.
