Came to Chicken Express for hush puppies and food an hour before they closed and we’re told they had already turned off the fryers for the night so they were out of hush puppies, what establishment turns off their fryers especially a fried chicken place an hour before they close?! As we went to order our actual food we asked for “mild chicken strips” and were rudely told “mild?? we only have regular and spicy”, we then pulled to the window to pay after ordering and the man at the window was constantly on his phone texting and Ext., we waited to pay for about 5 minutes before he even noticed we were there. I will not say we won’t be coming here again but this was truly upsetting and costumers should not be treated this way.
I used the drive thru and ordered tenders, one order of spicy and one order of regular. The people working were very slow. A girl in the back brought up my food and talked to the cashier. Instead of handing me my food she put it on the counter, then they both walked off. It was more than five minutes later before somebody else pulled up to order. That's when the cashier came back and I asked about my food and she handed me the sack that had been sitting on the counter and blamed it on the other girl for not handing it to me. There were no napkins and I asked for that. Asked about my food being cold and she said no it was only there for a minute I timed it it was way more than a minute. I did not ask for them to remake it because sabotage.My child's health and safety was more important. I have been to this place before but never will again.

Literally gave me Mac and cheese that smelt horrible and had watery curdled cheese? Staff is rude too “ANYTHING ELSE?” After basically any word we said in the drive thru. Wont go here again ewww

Usually enjoy meals here, however I went today after work (6:30 - 7) the chicken clearly had been sitting for a while under the lamp. Very cooked to and greasy on the batter. Green beans very wilted. Was not happy after spending almost $30. I do not recommend.

The chicken was good but the fish fillets were overcooked. The sides were real good.
Food was fresh and packaged to go so that it all arrived home hot still.
