The waitress was nice that’s why they get 1 star. But the whole place was filthy. Also… this is our 2nd time at this location forgetting sunglasses on the table walking back within minutes to get them and NO ONE has seen them or turned them in. They have all of a sudden become invisible sunglasses. Also. Less than 1/2 of the games work in the arcade. Do better Top Golf Allen. Do. Better.
We came here for my birthday, had a 15 minute wait - no problem. The issue is that we talked to 3 working staff between the front desk & bar staff we ordered drinks from and who was also the one tending our bay & it wasn’t until we were already playing that he made mention of the fact that we were extremely limited on the menu because the grill and fryer were down. Just would have been an extra step in customer service to inform us so we could make necessary adjustments and not feel as if we were only informed after our money was spent & then we’re stuck since we already started playing.
I went to the Allen location on a Tuesday at 7:30pm. I tried to join the waiting list online prior, but there was a bug in the app and it wouldn’t let me join it. I proceeded to call and see if i could join the waiting list over the phone, but my call got to corporate and they said they couldn’t do that. Because Tuesday is half off I expected for my group to have to wait a long time. the guy at the front desk said it would be a 1 1/2 to 2 hour wait. Finally at 9:10, I get a text saying our bay is ready. I walk inside with my friends and they asked us for all of our ID’s. My friend forgot her ID, so the lady at the front (I’m assuming it was one of the managers) said that my friend was not allowed to play because she had no proof that she was 18, and that you have to prove that you are 18 with an ID after 9pm if there isn’t anyone 21+ with you. I was extremely frustrated because when we decided to wait the 2 hours for a bay, no one told us prior that you had to be 18+ to play after 9pm. The lady also told us that this has been a rule at their location for a while, but for people who have never been there before, but we did not know about this rule since it was our first time. So basically My friends and I waited for almost 2 hours to play, then got denied because of one of us not having an ID on us. My friend who forgot her ID lives far away from Allen so we couldn’t go and get it. The lady was apologizing for the inconvenience so I asked her if she could give us a discount for next time so we would come back another day, but she said “nope” and so I left. Top golf is fun, but not when you have to wait for 2 hours then get told that you can’t play:/
Our bay computer was very buggy (froze on us a couple of times at the start) and in our second game wouldn’t even track the golf balls so we had to manually enter every single point. We asked our server and the manager said that the green target was down but the rest should work. This was not true as we watched the bay next to us and their’s worked like a charm on all targets and ours didn’t work on any. Also our server passed by our bay several times without seeing that we needed drink refills. We had to ask twice and he simply said “they’re on their way.” Two lemonades and two water showed up about thirty minutes after that and the lemonades tasted like water with a hint of lemon in them. Very subpar experience and will likely go to the Colony and Dallas locations instead in the future.
Visiting from New York, was looking forward to a fun night out in the Dallas area. The waiting staff was incompetent and slow, not friendly and made our experience negative overall. We’ve been to plenty of top golf establishments and have always enjoyed our time and the service provided. This specific establishment is incredibly poorly managed, we had a particularly negative experience with the manager tonight. Will never return.
First bad experience I’ve had at a top golf but that’s just what it was. We visited on 4/10/2022 in bays #230/231 We made multiple orders that didn’t get put in from drinks to food and they weren’t busy. It took a friend 45 minutes to get his check after he asked 3 times. Not sure where all that great reviews came from but we didn’t experience even acceptable service. This review isn’t a reflection of Top golf as as whole but this one sucks!
Fun with all skill level people.
First time, lots of fun. About 100$ for an hour for two people, some snacks and beer. Would go again
3rd floor was closed but no wait and had a great 2nd story Bay. Time flies there because you're having fun and drinking, 2 and a half hours there was about $120 our part. That included playtime (split with another couple), 2-3 drinks each, and appetizer and two entrees.
Awesome staff!! Very attentive!
