Upscale sushi and Rice bowl restaurant in Watters Creek. Parking is limited and can be a major hassle during busy times. Nice outdoor patio. Wait staff were attentive and polite. Prices are rather on the high side. Food is a very good quality and flavor.
Blue Fish has been a long time staple of mine. For along time my husband and I enjoyed the bar area of the one off of Frankford and the Tollway for the longest. Today, my daughter and I tried this location for lunch while doing some shopping. Same great service. Same quality sushi. I had an Asian Pear Margarita that was really refreshing in this heat. I’m a big fan of Yellowtail, so I had a Samurai roll - very good- and she had a Rainbow roll. Blue Fish is consistent. If I had one complaint it would be that they might be a tad overpriced. I forgot to take photos.
Food was good, service was adequate, but the ambiance wasn't that great. Also, the place could use a more thorough cleaning.
We ordered sashimi but they were not sashimi cut. They were sushi cut. Sashimi cut is usually thicker (that's why the price is much higher). We ordered Daiginjo sake (which the price was pretty steep for a carafe), and the clarity of sake was not there (it was pretty yellow, meaning not fresh).
The food was very good but standard for most sushi restaurants. Service was poor. Many times we had to go look for our server. Drinks and requests were slow to be filled. Way over priced.
We went for lunch on a Monday and the place was not very busy. Service was excellent, the sushi we ordered was incredibly fresh and well made. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves sushi.
Great service while watching the outdoor concert
Ordered ahead for takeout. Not the easiest place to find parking, but my order was ready when I arrived.Portions were a bit small, but ingredients were all nicely fresh. They have an extensive menu, so I'll likely be back to try some other options, but it wasn't a "wow" meal, so I'm equally apt to scout other options in the area. Not bad at all, but also not spectacular.
Service was poor. Seated immediately but waited 10+ mins for water and just ended up having to flag down another waiter to ask for water. Our waiter finally appeared and apologized for not noticing us. When he took our order he was snarky and not helpful when we asked him about the menu items. Another waiter finally brought out the water and later our food. The food was fine, but not what we expected as the menu was not very detailed and the main waiter was not helpful. We had to ask another waiter for our check and only saw our main waiter for a second time when he came to pick up the check. Between the overpriced food and poor service I will not be returning.
I made reservation for my moms birthday and had a terrible experience. We ordered drinks, appetizers, soups and salad. Only to wait for everything for way too long and then they served us all at once. I complained to the manager and he did try to make things better with a complimentary bottle of wine. After I complained we amazingly had more people serving the patio. Sushi was good. Very disappointing! I will not be back to this location.
