Well. Sunday morning; not feeling like cooking or eating oatmeal or just a bagel with cheese. What do you do on early Sunday morning in McKinney? Rosa's Café & Tortilla Factory, of course! My first time here. First good impressions, as the place was clean and organized. After finding the order counter, I ordered a Huevos Rancheros plate. I had a Gift Card I received in the mail for a taco, so I ordered a Huevos con Chorizo Taco also. I paid for my order, proceeded to get coffee, and sat down. It was early Sunday, so there was little traffic; only 3-4 other patrons were there. I also got some salsa and Pico de Gallo. So far, so good. After a few minutes, my order ready was called, and I picked it up.Not the Huevos Rancheros I was expecting, nor anything close to Huevos Rancheros I have ever seen (and I have seen a few - from the disastrous to the exquisite), but I am never afraid to embark on a culinary adventure, regardless of the risks. Certainly not the Huevos Rancheros at Tejas Taco House, and by far the atmosphere. I am sure you are thinking, lord, all this blah blah to speak about a plate of Huevos Rancheros, a simple breakfast! But NO! You see, it takes planning, thought, perception, careful observation, and optimum taste buds to discern the unique qualities and subtle differences between one Huevo Ranchero and another! These are skills that your taste buds acquire through years of experience tasting the great and the horrible! Yes, indeed; I had to endure the incredible and horrifying experience of tasting a bad taco! But also, I have had the privilege of pleasing my taste buds with the enriching flavors of the divine. Yes, you can only achieve such heights by taking the necessary risks to venture into the world of culinary diversity.OK, got a little excited there... But please tell me, how do you know what is good if you don't try it?So in closing, how was the Huevos Rancheros? Not what I expected, but good. The meal was wholesome and tasty, more on the Tex-Mex side than Real Mexican, but it was good. The coffee was good and fresh; the tortillas were fresh, made right on site. The potatoes with Chorizo that accompanied the "Huevos Rancheros" were excellent. Not many places open at 6:30 am on Sunday; many Mexican restaurants forget the early bird clientele.Rosa's Café & Tortilla Factory in Allen, TX is a good place to get breakfast, it is clean and nicely decorated, and the food is good.Your experience may differ when you stop in for yourself. After all, that is what life is about, the experiences we have as individuals and what we make of them. For me, this Sunday was positive at Rosa's Café.Thank you, Rosa's Café, and thank you for the gift card.

I found Rosa's because of a billboard on the highway. Why not. I will try something new. I wasn't sure that they were opened because the windows are tinted and it was getting late, but trying the door, it was open with a few diners.Rosa's isn't what I expected. I expected a full service restaurant where I could eat at a bar since I was traveling solo. What I found inside though, was even better.Rosa's is a counter-service restaurant with a large, well-lit dining area. While it has some attributes of a fast-food establishment, the decor and seating are suited for a full-service restaurant. Rosa's is well-suited for those that want to eat and be on their way (like me) or a leisurely dinner with family who wants to take their time. For dinner, I ordered the enchilada meal and I was impressed with the freshness and quality of the food. The Tres Amigos meal means you don't have to choose between beef, chicken, or cheese enchiladas because you get all three! Rosa's also makes Tortillas on site and they come with your meal.In short, I liked Rosa's so much that I went back before I left town a couple of days later. This time, I ordered the chicken enchiladas - they were my favorite.I also didn't know that Rosa's is a chain. I think they are mainly in the DFW area but I will be the first customer when they open one up near me.

The fajita salad with chicken and beef is very good. The tamales are okay, I have better. We seem to arrive at the end of the lunch hour rush, there were several tables that are dirty.

We are there based on previous reviews, so I thought I would try it out. I was disappointed. Food was marginal and the prices were so so. You could go to Taco Bueno and have a similar experience. On a good note, they do have fresh made tortillas. They were good, but they by themselves couldn't help improve this review

Rosa's Café is good for chain Mexican food. Good service, fresh tortillas, great deals for Taco Tuesday. Lots of space and clean tables. The drive-through is hit or miss. The chicken enchiladas and queso are great.

ROSA’S what happened to the nuts on your chocolate cake?!?!? We love your restaurant. I’m from Odessa, TX and have been eating here since I was a small child in the early 90’s. But, as a pregnant lady craving your cake, I am disappointed to find no nuts on or in the cake! Bring them back!

Stopped ✋️ in for some takeout dinner ? and it was extremely ? good. They make their own tortillas right in front of you and they are excellent. They have self-serve drinks ? and a self service salsa bar. I will definitely be back when I am in the area again . .safe travels to all!!

I went from ordering at the menu in drive through to paying and getting food in about 2 minutes. Faster than other drive thru taco places for good food. The tortillas are the best. Chips and Salsa bring the spice and their fajita beef is always quality.

Love this place! I was in a shoulder sling today. They presented my order and I was trying to figure out how I was going to carry it. The young man said you need help with that, let me bring it to your table. Thank you so much for being so courteous. The food was excellent as usual!

Unfortunately not much to say about this place. After reading the reviews and on nextdoor, you would think it's going to be some of the best food you ever ate. That was not the case at all. Yes, the food came out super fast but it did not taste fresh nor was it flavorful. The salsa seemed out of a can and very processed. The chocolate cake was very dry and straight sugar.
