Great service, excellent food, relaxed atmosphere
Stopped by Lupe Tortilla around 430pm, very slow minimal employees but about what I expected for this time of day. Very nice server and moderately convenient service. Part of the problem is that their Happy hour meals are only til 4pm, I feel like this misses the prime people who could still come here before a dinner rush around 6 or 7. Now let's start with the food and where the realy problem lies. Chips and chunky salsa were excellent and had a decent kick to it. Some of the better salsa out there from a tex-mex place. Really inviting for the meal that is coming out. Main meal though was underwhelming. I got the El Carbon which is essentially two beautiful fajita tacos with rice and beans for 22.95. Flavor on the beef was decently seasoned but nothing special. I'm sure if you know how to make steak or fajita meat at home yours will be better. Rice and beans as basic as they come. For something that costs so much I expect flavor and I'd expect the meal to be sizzling hot. My girl got The Pablo Patron which is 3 different enchiladas and you guessed it some rice and beans. Tamale was overcooked and dry, and the cheese enchilada was super greasy. Only saving grace on this place was the barbacoa enchilada which had excellent flavor. This meal cost 16.95. Drinks such as tea or soda were 3.25. Final thought is if you want overpriced Tex Mex with minimal flavor this is the place to go, and if not finding a smaller place might be better.
Having had great meals at other Lupe Tortilla locations, we tried this one. Most of our meals were OK. The fajitas were above average, but not as good as I remembered. Lupe is one of our favorites, but it went down a notch from its high perch after visiting this location. Not bad, just not great either.
Lupe Tortilla is so good! We ordered some chicken quesadillas and the tacos. They were so amazing! The customer service was amazing!! We had Lexie help us out and she did a fantastic job! She even got us some extra beans with the chips. Witch are by the way the best partWe’ll be back!!
We ate at Lupe Tortilla in Allen today for Fathers Day. It was our first time. Our waitress was very accommodating even though they were busy. We set up our place in line online, walked in, checked in, and sat down within 10 minutes. The food was really good and came out to us quickly.
Went to Lupe Tortilla's on a Saturday night. We were surprised it was only a twenty-minute wait, actually, as it was very busy. I got the queso flameado as my meal which consisted of melted jack cheese and chorizo on a flour tortilla. The two other people at our table got the fajitas barbacoas which consisted of beef and chicken fajitas, smoked ribs, and jalapeno sausage with the usual sides of guacamole, cheese, pico, and sour cream. The cheese on my flameado was not melted, and it arrived in one lukewarm "clump." The barbacoas was a huge hit though, cooked well and nice and hot. The server was excellent, usually the bartender but switched roles for the evening we were there.
This was my first time trying this restaurant and it was AMAZING! Everyone there were so nice and helpful INCLUDING our server Mason. He was fantastic! Their was also a lady manager (didn’t catch her name) but she was so sweet. I’ll definitely be going back!
This was a great place to eat! We went during brunch, so the menu was different, but we'll go back to this place, ?!!
the presentation of the plate and the food was good. we were the 2nd customers to enter when they opened. I just felt for the amount of staff standing around we would have received quicker service, I just observed workers standing around or just roaming the floor. again, the food was good, the complimentary chips and salsa was good as well.
Isabella answered all our questions. Good! We were traveling thru on our way home and Lupes was recommended!
