We've been going to Layne's since visiting one of my boys in College Station, and we were excited when they started to expand. I've eaten at the Allen location quite a bit and it's every bit as good as the original in CS. Tonight was no exception. Great service, fresh hot food, the new spicy was really good, and Leo was great. Friendly, courteous, professional.Great chicken fingers.
This is my first time having Laynes, and it blows Canes out of the water! I personally think the chicken is much better, and the service here is instant. Korben, Theo, and Ash were so nice and took great care of our large group!
Stopped here on Saturday from my son's baseball tournament for lunch for the first time and it was delicious! Theo took our order and helped us with the various sauce options. Ash and Jake greeted us with a smile from the back and made sure that our food was fresh, hot and good! Recommend stopping and trying this place if you haven’t yet.
Corbin was SO GREAT! I received the best service I have ever experienced at a chicken place! His attention to detail and devotion to customer service truly brought my girlfriend and I to tears. This is an experience that will be acknowledged and appreciated throughout the duration of our relationship, hopefully soon to be marriage! Ash was extremely accommodating as well. Most certainly will be invited to the reception! Thank you Laynes!?
Love the Chicken and Sweet Tea. Charity and Ash do an amazing job every time I visit. The staff focuses on the customer experience and satisfaction.Nate does an OK-ish job ; )Thanks for always saying “Welcome” and “Have a good day” when I frequent your establishment.
I really like Layne's Chicken fingers but I will not go back to this location again. The chicken & fries (what tiny portion of fries we received) we're so greasy. We even tried putting them in the air fryer to try to dry them out, but even that didn't help. The Layne's sauce was off too. I always get it so I know how it's supposed to taste. It was just a bland sauce & did not appear to have much pepper in it. I will stick to the location in the Colony which is never failed to be fabulous.
Man.....I don't like giving bad reviews....but this place was mediocre at best. Not sure if it was the time of day...but the chicken was not great, small strips and over fried FRIES. The almost taste burnt. And the Layne's Sauce.....not good. I should of went to McDonald's. This place is on the corner of McDermott and 75.....I wish I had gone to QT.
I have to say, I have been very impressed with Laynes the few time I have gotten food from there. Everything is always warm, the chicken is very tender and juicy, and they have fantastic shakes. Don't even get me started on the sauces - my husband an I love the honey mustard and the Layne's sauce!
The General Manager, Chris, was not only helpful but friendly and such a nice person. The food is best fresh and they have so many sauces to try. My brother enjoyed trying them all. Would definitely recommend.
first time there and it was really good. the fingers were so crispy and juicy. it wasn’t greasy though. the texas toast and fries were also so crispy and nice. as they cooled down, they didn’t turn soggy which was amazing. this place is basically like cane’s but better.
