I work at a venue in the DFW area, and had a wonderful experience with Tatering for a wedding. They arrived early, set the tables beautifully, and were right on time with plating of the entree. They had extra plates for venue staff, which is always appreciated, and left the kitchen clean. They had a beautiful set up of charcuterie and queso fountain which was a hit at the wedding. Overall, a professional and easy to work with business.
I found Tatering through our local wedding group on Facebook. He was highly recommended by many so we decided to book a tasting with him. Our initial visit went very well, he was nice but a little awkward, but the food was delicious and we were very satisfied. He didn’t have one of the food items we wished to try on that day so he said we could come back a few days later and pick it up to try. We drove the 40+ minutes to pick it up, my fiancé went in the pay and get it and brought out the completely wrong meals than what we asked for. He brought it back in and Mark immediately knew what he did, as if he knowingly gave us the wrong food but didn’t say anything. He apologized and said that he’d have one of his staff members deliver the correct food to us and they’d be in contact with me to set up a time. Almost a week went by with no contact. I expressed my concern but said I’d dismiss the mess up as a fluke and continue with his service for now. The food was eventually delivered to us, but it was completely inedible. It was the saltiest food I have ever received. We were extremely disappointed and understandably upset by the lack of communication, terribly quality, and overall lack of professionalism. He is also an admin for said local wedding group and after we expressed our dissatisfaction and that we wouldn’t be working with him, he removed and blocked me from the group so I’m no longer able to get wedding help easily. Extremely petty and childish behavior. He’s very hit or miss, just be cautious if you plan to use him.
Ordered premium liquor for wedding event. Did not receive what we ordered and paid for. Due to Covid19, Mark was delayed in responding to my request. Once we made contact, he resolved my concerns appropriately.
The food for my wedding was amazing and the servers were very polite and friendly! Thank you Tatering for helping make our night everything we wanted it to be!
Overall, the experience was fine, but there are several things I’d like to point out.The food itself tasted great, however the side portions were much smaller then what we were presented during our tasting. Also, we had a second vegetarian dish for some of our guests and the servers were not giving those guests the correct plate initially.We were told that the water would be filled prior to the reception, however when the ceremony was finished we came to the reception hall and the waters were not filled. Furthermore, we were then told that everyone, including the head table, would have to get their own water. More annoying then anything, given the fact that our ceremony was in the Texas heat.My brother, the best man, was not given a plate while everyone else at the head table had been plated. I had to ask not once, not twice, but three times for a plate to be brought over.Again, overall the experience was alright and our guests did agree that the food itself was good. If I had to make an assessment, I’d say that they are simply adequate and don’t expect top notch service.
Marc and his team were our first choice for our wedding on April 10, 2021! A week before the wedding, we got a request for a vegetarian plate. Marc quickly made the accommodation and ensured that the person got their plate. The appetizers (Dr.Tater Meatballs, Brushetta, and Bacon wrapped Bratwurst) were gone within 20 minutes! The team stuck by and cut our cakes and made sure that all the tables were bused. Everyone was very professional and kind. We received so many compliments on the food and couldn't have imagined our day without Tatering!
Tatering is the most affordable catering option in dfw! The food was good, and Marc was always responsive and courteous. They did a great job at our reception and even cut the cake as part of the service. Don’t let their cheap prices scare you!
We were struggling with catering options when planning our 5/15/21 wedding- everything was so expensive and we weren’t even looking for anything crazy. Tatering popped up as a Facebook ad with their booking special where the provided the place settings for free if you booked a certain service level. We decided to give it a shot and booked a tasting- it was delicious! We went with a taco bar and chips and queso for cocktail hour. I can’t tell you how many rave reviews of the food we got on the wedding day and after! Guests loved all the different options. I’m so glad I actually got to eat at my reception, I would have been sad if I’d missed the food! Marc was also extremely responsive and helpful throughout the process, which was great! Highly recommend Tatering and their taco bar!!

Food was great, the guests loved it- compliments to the chef ?The servers where exceptional, I most definitely will use them and recommend for future events -From the food tasting- to the day of event Marc and his staff ensure it was all taken care ,I loved it!!
