Eat here every time travel brings me to Dallas ! The seafood competes with anyone else, a true taste of Louisiana. The oysters are great, and when the crawfish are available they are a must have ! Too many great dishes to mention them all.
Awesome place to dine while visiting in Dallas. I had fried catfish and redheads. Came with hush puppies and garlic bread. The food was excellent and seasoned just right for this south Louisiana man. The seating was immediate at lunch time. The server I had was the best of the best and kept my ice tea full. I would recommend this place with 5 stars. Nice job at Nate's.
The food we had was great!! Fried mushrooms are the best I've had in a while. They were seasoned well and fried to perfection. My seafood pasta was good but the flavor could've been pumped up a little more. It tasted a little more tomatoey than you would expect from a Cajun pasta. They're downfall was the boil. They don't clean their shrimp for the boils. So, on top of already digging in and getting dirty, you have to go through the trouble of cleaning shrimp. That def takes away from your experience. I'll be back to try other things. They have so much on the menu to choose from.
Service is amazing here! Everyone is super kind. Oysters were nice and fresh but the cocktail sauce was super spicy!! I was a bit disappointed with the shrimp and crawfish after hearing so many good things about it. Was it worth $77? No.
First of all... let's talk about the Customer Service! Kaitlyn was so nice, on a Friday night and she was helpful! I can't wait to go back to speak with her.2nd, the food was delicious!! The crawfish has several different levels of heat. I get regular, the Turbo is too hot for me. It's hot for my friends that like spicy foods too but we still enjoy it!! Get the Desi's Bon Temps sauce, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED! It complements the crawfish and potatoes so well!They have specials (which I will post in the pictures) and they have a live band on Thursday. WARNING: They can get busy so get there a little early. They also offer Valet services. Follow me Edit: I took my crawfish out of the pan so I could discard it easier after I was done eating. The crawfish comes in a large 9x11in (?) pan.
My first time there with a friend and loved the place. So many options to choose. It took me more than 10 minutes to find out what i am craving for because lots of good options. They have everything from seafood to pasta and tacos to burgers!! Greg our server provided us with outstanding customer service. He was keep checking on our table, refilling our water glasses and helped us choosing their signature dishes!!
Stopped in for catfish lunch. We had a mix of fried and blackened with a side of grilled veggies, baked potato, and fried okra. Dessert was key lime pie and chocolate mousse cake with a raspberry drizzle. Fabulous! Our server, Carrie, was a delight too. Well done, Nate's!
Nate our server was great! They didn’t have the drink I wanted but he found a way to make it creatively. (Strawberry margarita). He recommended the redfish plate. I asked if they could swap the rice for pasta & make it spicy. Nate delivered! He ensured it came out even better than I could’ve imagined! I eat Cajun / creole pasta from many restaurants but this was definitely top 3! It did end up a bit pricey, but everything was so good, the fish, the pasta, the sauce. Wow. All of the workers I interacted with had great customer service!
Started with a friendly greeting at the door and the entire staff kept our glasses full and followed up on a regular basis. Our waiter Greg B had an outstanding personality, answered our menu questions and had good recommendations for our lunch. Be sure not to miss the complimentary hush puppies and bread to nibble on while perusing the menu or awaiting your food, both are fantastic. Nate's gumbo is a winner and small portion cones in a bowl rather than a coffee cup like many places. Greg recommended the combination which was full of shrimp, crabmeat sausage and chicken in a brown roux, with rice on the side rather than mixed in, my preference. For entrees we chose a fried shrimp platter and full size shrimp po-boy which were good-sized for lunch. Our waiter suggested we get fries and onion rings as our sides rather than just fries, a great idea for us to share. Fresh cut fries and thinly sliced onion strings were perfect. Our meal was so good we even ordered two gumbos and the hush puppy/bread combo to go. Give Nate's a try for lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed.
