This is a true mom & pop sort of Italian joint. Very tasty and fresh pasta, definitely homemade. Menu likely hasn’t changed since they opened 20 years ago, so nothing healthy in sight. Bread on the side is fresh and pretty good. Eggplant parmigiana was delicious. Side salad wasn’t special, but blue cheese crumbles were nice. I found it distracting to have to listen to both the overhead music and the bar TV simultaneously. Closed captioning, anyone? The place is in desperate need of a deep cleaning and paint job. Tablecloth was filthy and the floors obviously hadn’t been swept lately. Would still go back, though. Super friendly waitress, too.
Warm and fuzzy is the feeling I got from this restaurant. The older gentleman Joe was full of stories and love to share his experiences and all the people he had met during his long career in owning restaurants. The waitress to be best described was from the East Coast and middle aged blonde lady and was so friendly and funny and very welcoming. The food was very typical East Coast Italian restaurant fare. I had the eggplant with pasta and it was delicious my friend had a pepperoni pizza and was very happy with that. Please visit this restaurant and enjoy it was not just the good food but the personality of the people that made it so amazing.
Absolutely a gem! The best Italian food I've ever eaten. Very personable staff and great atmosphere. We will definitely come back when we are in this area.
Me and the wife found this place by accident the food is amazing! It's like sitting at an Italian family's house and eating dinner all the food is hand made and some of the most delicious food I've eaten in general. Service is amazing my only regret is I don't live closer id be here daily.
I had a great birthday dinner with my dad here! 1st time in! Everything was delicious. And just get the dessert.
I especially enjoyed the lamb shank dish. I have tried seafood cannelloni, Sole Italiano, house salad with freshly prepared dressing, stracciatella, and the fresh bread. They have all been delicious!
The owners are very nice and the food is always on point. I have honestly never had a bad meal here. The Chicken Parm and Fettucine Alfredo were excellent as was the Veal Parm I had. We go several times a month and it never disappoints.
Joe's Italian Cafe was an unexpected, authentic experience. With its quaint charm, freshly homemade food, and readinable prices, it shines as a diamond in the rough. The food, the service, the owner's presence, all create the perfect Italian Dinning event. Absolutely love it!
Good Italian food at a very fair price. OK atmosphere and a friendly casual staff. The kitchen was very fast with this vast menu. We had appetizers, pastas, meatballs, sausage dessert. Meatballs homemade. Sausage was very very spicy. Loved it. Don’t expect cloth napkins or valet parking, just a good meal.
This place is gravely under appreciated. They have a pleasantly large menu that allows you to get food for even picky eaters. For the quality of food my family got this place should charge 8 to 10 dollars more than they do. Please go give them a try, they deserve it.
