A quaint little hole in the wall that's been around for something to the likes of 30 plus years. Really a historical Staple of Addison. I never knew about it until recently, and I grew up here. Glad I found them, though, they're the only Breakfast spot around that serves some decent grits. Actually, everything we had was delicious, I highly recommend the omelet (it's huge). They're open 24 hours and the wait staff is very personable. I enjoyed my visit and hopefully, I'll be back soon.

Called to let them know I found a hair infused into the pancake my son was eating & all they can offer was a new meal not a refund or apologize this shows they don’t were hair nets & this goes to show. I’ve bought food in the past but even when I’ve had a issue they only offer a new meal not a refund at this point I’m disappointed with this location.

I would highly recommend this place to a group of monks looking for a morning of ritual fasting. The highlight of my visit is the staff. Super friendly. But Honestly, other than that, do not understand how this place has such high reviews.Came in this morning for breakfast and could not get past 1 bite of anything on my plate. The eggs are super runny and greasy , potatoes are dry as hell with no flavor at all, sausage and bacon taste old and pulled out of the grease trap.... Honestly, that is what they should name this place. " the GREASE TRAP "I Truly feel this place is only still open because they allow smoking inside and that the staff is super friendly.

One of my favorite spots. Small hole in the wall diner open 24/7 that still has a smoking section (not a great place for kids). The diner gets crowded on weekends late night/early morning coming from the bars. Service, can get a bit slow, understandably. Employees are friendly and knowledgable of menu items. Food is good depending on cook.

Would be higher stars but they allow smoking inside, but while i visited there was only 2 guys up front who were lit up. The food was great and our waitress was really nice. If you ever want a throwback to restaurants in the 70's this is the place to be.

It’s been a while, visited this place as usual on New Year’s Eve…received good service and I tipped well…typically it’s yelling and frustration that goes on. Luckily this time it wasn’t that way.Good is Amazing, some employees are really good and caring and others needs a bit of training. No one these days should be treated unfairly as customers. Would love to see this improve a bit, but I’ll give them 5 stars

J’s is a true southern diner experience throughout, and I believe it’s a personal gem to Dallas. I can safely say that I’ve never been to a better diner full-stop. The staff here are always terrific and the food is super tasty every time I’ve visited.I think J’s is such a special place that I hope never changes, especially through these rougher timesI’ve also had friends from Canada and Brazil that would go on record for saying how much they wish they could come back here, so that’s also a plus

It is New Year’s Day and the staff/food was still incredible! Excellent service from our waitress Delilah who was on top of everything and constantly checked on us to make sure everything was okay. Moe, the chef made the best eggs and pancakes I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place for breakfast or a 2:00 am snack.

This is an old-style diner, complete with cigarette smoke, fast-talking waitresses with big personalities calling you “baby” and “honey”, and excellent food at a low price. If you’re in the area, this is probably one of the best places to get grub on a budget. You’ll be treated like a long-lost relative who came over for a good home cooking.I enjoyed this place far more than a couple of the surrounding restaurants. We’re definitely coming back here next time we’re in the area.Note: the smoking section it in the front, but there is a non-smoking section in the back.

This is probably one of the very few last restaurants that still allows you to smoke inside the restaurant. When you enter the restaurant you will be asked if you want to sit in the smoking zone (the first half) or the non-smoking zone (the back of the restaurant). This diner type restaurant will make you feel like being in a restaurant from the 60's. The food is really good for a reasonable price. The staff are clean and friendly. We loved our sandwiches.Their accessible entrance and parking made the restaurant more accessible with accessible restroom.
