Such a nice place for brunch. I went around 1p on a Sunday and sat outside so really not a big rush. The servers were super helpful and friendly and was very easy to talk to. I ordered the avocado toast (with an egg over medium) it came with a small salad. I also ordered a mango juice (not pictured) and I loved the taste of it (it was thicker than most mango juices, so be aware). Overall great experience; can’t complain.
Wanted a table for one in the shade away from smoker groups and young waiter got argumentative about how they want to want to save tables for groups of three or more. The ambiance is certainly nice and European, but the coffee and wine prices definitely don't justify the poor customer service. A little farther down I got free chips with my $6 draft beer at El Rincon's nice patio with very friendly service, as it should be.
We stopped for breakfast and had a pleasant time. We had cappuccinos, the Astoria breakfast, and salmon bagels.
So this cafe has ups and downs. The owner will close the cafe as he pleases, when the days are slow! Sometimes you will come across a waiter/waitress who will take forever to take order. But still it is my favorite. Feel like it is a bit overpriced? Yes. Price did go up. Instead of smoked salmon bagel thing, try salad. Have 5-cheese plate instead. You will love it.
Went on a quiet morning with a friend to get coffee and walk around the cute Addison area. We were told that to-go orders had to be taken immediately off the front patio even though it wasn’t crowded at all…um ok. It was also very overpriced for the quantity and quality, and no refills. There’s better coffee and service available elsewhere. I don’t recommend coming here :/
I visited this place a few times and never was disappointed until this last time. Waited by the front for at least 15 mins while was not acknowledged or even asked if needed help and then finally the guy decides to come with worse attitude. When asked about the certain kind of cake I always get from them, he rudely responded that we do not have it. I asked whether tomorrow or certain days they carry, he goes again rudely responding “ I do not know, one day yes another day no”, very disrespectful way and rudely approaching a customer after I waited this long and then worse way of responding. Never coming again.
Cozy place with good seating in a calm neighbour hood. Good joint if you plan with a group or friends or families.. like the outdoor dinning setup.
Found this little gem today! Everything was amazing. Everything was so fresh and delicious ?. We will be back for sure!
Cute coffee shop? NO very horrible ambiance. We tried to sit outside to not disturb anyone since it looked a little busy. We were respectful went inside instead of seating ourselves. It was actually very windy outside, I felt I couldn’t stay outside any longer. I came with friends, I didn’t really want to come to a coffee shop, but my friend was very excited to try something on the menu. So I was invited to keep them company and I had already eaten ( I had a headache so I couldn’t have any coffee just regular water) Our server ( a lady) approached us very unprofessionally and had a sour look on her face. My friend ordered and it look a while for the drink to come out. It tasted gross/very pricey. Keep rushing us to order other items. After a while was upset when we moved inside to sit at another table and we asked if it was okay. She said it was fine, but was definitely talking about us to another coworker. After 2 minutes of being inside told us about their policy that everyone had to order something or not welcome at this shop. No one at the table said anything we were shocked, the lady walked away. We felt disgusted that someone would say that when trying to enjoy the night after a rough day. Wanted to just ask for the manager, but it wasn’t worth our time. So close to leaving without paying or even my friend not finishing the drink, though we have manners unlike the employees here. We immediately left. Wasn’t even there for longer than 15 minutes. DO NOT COME WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO FIND A GREAT PLACE TO DINE.
Great cozy place, awesome atmosphere,, excellent customer service. Great variety of wines. Delicious coffee and pastries.
