Great coffee! Service differs greatly depending on the shift, some of the workers have zero personality and you aren't greeted when you walk in, sometimes they're super nice and cheerful.
This is my family’s favorite breakfast place. The coffee is heavenly. We always enjoy trying their unique pour over coffee. Their bagels are delicious; the best we’ve ever had. I love that we can buy coffee beans there too. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality meal.
Not at all what I thought it would be. I ordered the lavender latte with oat milk and an extra shot. I think they forgot to put lavender in it cause it just taste like shots and milk. It was bad. And it was $7.81 which made it that much worse. I definitely won't be going to any ascension locations, at least at sbux you get points. There's nothing good about this place.
I’ve been here twice now, and it’s ok but not what it should be. The interactions with employees is a little cold, but it’s not terrible. First time here, I ordered a latte, and the girl plopped it on my table with a very annoyed attitude as if I was waisting her time. It was bizarre, but the latte was good so I looked past it. My second time made it my last. I ordered a vanilla lavender latte, and it was mildly warm and extremely sweet to the point I just couldn’t drink it. I asked for some coffee to tame it down and the girl seemed annoyed but not overly rude about it. I also ordered avocado toast, and first glance looked gross. I didn’t realize it had egg with it, which was watery and very runny. I just hate eggs though. Then I took a bite of the avocado toast and it was cold, not warm even… Cold. The bread was not toasted at all. So I went back up to the counter to tell them. And at that point I basically lost my appetite; but they said they would remake it and I said ok even though I just really didn’t even want it at that point. The next one was ok. They claim it’s “The Original Avocado Toast”. Which would hold an exciting flavor pallet in my thoughts and expectations. But it’s just toast, avocado, pimentos, and feta. That’s it, nothing special. No interesting seasonings. I guess I’m just more expectant of places like this that portray a serious made-from-scratch vibe. Overall it’s better than a lot of places, and they probably do have amazing foods, but my experiences just weren’t that great.
Overall a disappointing visit despite great reviews.Staff looked absolutely miserable and cashier terribly bothered to be taking our order. We specifically requested “for here” (twice) as we always prefer hot coffee in a mug to the cardboard cup. Our pastries that we requested warmed were still ice cold on the inside. They were served on plates, but the coffee in to-go cups (despite those around us drinking from mugs). My lavender latte had no taste or flavor whatsoever. An unfortunate $20 wasted.
The service was good. The location is ok - there are nicer Ascension locations out there (like the one in Coppell/The Sound) or Design District. A decent amount of outside parking but it has a 2 hr limit on some spots and it gets packed around lunch. The parking inside the nearby office building parking garage is scary lol. Soooo many tight corners and it's confusing getting in and out. And overall I'm not a huge fan of Ascension's coffee/flavor. Some other great spots for coffee in DFW are Lemma, LDU, and Native.
I had a caramel lavender latte and the avocado toast. Both were really good!! The avocado was fresh and the toast was really good. The coffee wasn't too sweet and had a great flavor! Will definitely be back
Customer service sucks. I always order some kind of dish with bread and sub gluten free bread, today was the third time they did not give me the GF bread I paid extra for. I realize the weight falls on me with picking the right restaurants to eat at with my sensitivity/Celiac, but if you offer gluten free bread, freakin put it in there so you don’t get your guests sick all the time. My order was clearly labeled SUB GF BREAD, I don’t know if it’s the kitchen or the servers putting together to-go orders but they need to be trained on this. Coffee here is fantastic but if you’ve got allergies or enjoy good customer service, there’s better coffee shops in the area…curious to see if I get a reply on this bc management seems to be pretty apathetic
I thought the customer service was lacking. There was no greeting or thank you from the cashier. He simply took my order and then just left the register, so I had to reach over and get my receipt myself. When I went to grab my latte, the girl handing it to me and the cashier both simply stared at me without saying anything. I was about to say something at this point but decided not to bc it wouldn't be worth it. I want to understand that they are young adults who are probably just part-timers but still...it's a job in the service industry....I later discovered that they got my sandwich order wrong. I tried to settle with the bacon sandwich but it really tasted no good. It's pricey for a sandwich so I went back to request a refund. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because at least that cashier granted my refund request, gave me credit for a free coffee, and apologized. That's something.
Coffe is ok. Its not the best in DFW. The latte tastes ok. The cortado flight was ok as well. Not a fan of the flavors. It came with a matcha type coffee, a sugary one which was like a xmas cookie flavor (it was not good) & a peppermint flavor (which was ok). & it came with sparkling water. Overall, its a nice place to sit & have coffee. But the taste of the coffee could be better. Not a huge fan of the coffee they use I guess. But prices are reasonable. Its also hard to find parking here, it stays relatively busy even if you go really early.
