Really nice interior - Restaurant Impossible recently redid the building.Food was impressive. Somewhat different for a BBQ place (creamy Kale for example) but they had the staples as well.Overall a good experience and one we will repeat. Young lady at the cash register was very friendly.
The rib and brisket were fantastic, beans were good, staff were great and the place look good from the redo by Restaurant Impossible and Robert Irvine.Coleslaw said creamy it was not. It was very strong with vinegar and not creamy in anyway. The food was very expensive for the amount. One rib and two slices of brisket, two sides and a slice of bread $17. Our total was $44 for two meals, one water and one unsweetened tea. That didn't include a tip either. You order and pay before you sit.I would have given 5 stars ? if not for the amount of food for the price. The meat was some of the best we have had.
Menu has been updated, but the roots are unchanged- friendly atmosphere, friendly people just in a fancy new git up. food is still outrageously good. I sample they're rib fall off the bone, brisket juicy and well flavored and pulled pork, with a sauce which is still nice touch of sweet but to me pairs well. If you haven't been give it a shot, if it's been a while be prepared for a new look, but the food is what you'll remember. Creamed kale is delicious and different from the same old spinach, worth the side investment.
Was amazing the food came out hot and fresh and people was so nice. Will be going back.
The food here is blan at best. Brisket had no flavor and was a little dry. Sausage has no flavor. I thought I’d would try brisket jalapeño poppers…..peppers were crunchy from not being cooked long enough and the bacon was uncooked and even raw. Also not really any flavor either. If you want real Bar-B-Que avoid this place. The cashier was wonderful and pleasant.
Holy cow! Best loaded potato I've had EVER! Hands down worthy of a 5 star! 10/10 would eat here again!
Wow! Super impressed! Better then Betty Rosa's and way better then Sharon's, and the food portions where huge!Even the kids meal was big. If am gonna eat BBQ in abilene this is the only place I'll be going.
We were driving on our way to Midland and saw this restaurant. I love their pork ribs and sausage links. They tasted good already with no BBQ sauce but way better with the sauce. Cornbread and fried onion rings were delicious. But potato salad was way off. But I still give it a 5/5 for a small town vibe. I like it.
The brisket was awesome - moist, tender and flavorful. The best I've had in years. The lady at the counter was so nice and helpful. I look forward to going back!
Hot damn that brisket was on pointGood slaw, good cornbread, potato salad could have been more moist but hey who cares when you've got smokey melt-in-your-mouth brisket
