Came for breakfast and it was just horrible. Order breakfast and Brioche with potatoes and it was literally a BURGER!I most definitely did not want a burger for breakfast! It also was so dry and the potatoes were just not good! I asked for a regular breakfast bowl and got that instead. Well come check time they still charged me for the horrible breakfast that I did not eat! If they were going to charge me they could of left the plate for us to take home. Someone in my house would of ate it. I'm most definitely not ever returning here for breakfast or Dinner.

We're from Dallas and we met a good friend of ours who lives in Abilene who highly suggested this place. And it was a home run. We had deviled eggs over a spicy remoulade topped with fried crawfish with jalapeño slices, ahi tuna crusted with bicolor seasame seeds and seared rare sliced on the bias served over a bed of Thai-vinaigrette-tossed lo mein noodles, dressed with edamame, avocado, watermelon radishes, and Spring onions, along with bacon wrapped quail, perfectly seasoned Brussels sprouts, along with copious amounts of local brew. By far above and beyond typical run-of-the-mill bar food, being that it is chef owned and operated. Speaking of which, the chef came over and spoke with us for a few minutes as well. Super sharp and with great people skills "topped off" ~ no pun intended ~ with his culinary talent. There will most definitely be a sequel here when were back in the area. ...

The food was exactly as ordered, and tasted alright. Appetizers were timely and wonderful. A little disappointed though. Took well over an hour for our entrees to arrive and there were only 6 or 7 tables filled, and the beer was barely cool. For a hundred dollar ticket I expected a bit more, but its Easter, and I don't feel like being negative.

Recommended by hotel staff, food was very good, but as vegetarians, limited choices. Deserts were outstanding!!

Taylor County Taphouse is a locally owned restaurant. We went at an off time and it was not very busy. We ordered drinks first and they were great! Very strong but great. The Ace Pear Cider was exceptionally good. Dry, fruity and delicious. The cinnamon orange Margarita was a strange combination but very good. The Tequila Mockingbird was good. Strawberry and Tequila was pretty good. Strawberry infused tequila gave a nice finish. Our last drink was The Gambler and it was the clear favorite. Forty Creek Whiskey and Grand Marnier with toasted orange. Sooo very great citrusy and boozy. The Satan’s Huevos were excellent. Deviled eggs topped with fried crawfish and a remoulade drizzle. Very tasty and would order again. The Low Country Shrimp and Grits wasn’t very good. It had way too many onions and scallions in the grits. I love silky smooth grits and these were not at all. The second dish we had was the Bat Out Of Hell Meatloaf. Best dish hands down! Two slices of meatloaf laying upon a bed of skin on mashed potatoes. We added broccolini to the side and while salty it paired well with the meat and potatoes. Lastly was the pulled pork sandwich. Smoky juicy goodness served with steak fries. The coleslaw which was more of an afterthought. Oily and strange. We then finished with 7 Layer Chocolate Cake and boy oh boy this was truly decadent without being too sweet or heavy. Next level great. The Bread Pudding was just okay nothing special. The staff was very good. No hovering but came around as needed. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. Definitely comes recommended. We will be back.

Nice casual place for a variety of brews and good food. My steak Diane was cooked perfectly! The only thing lacking was customer service/atmosphere could have been better. I overheard gossiping between servers and one girl kept bumping into multiple guests which was distracting. She actually almost bumped into me while I was leaving too. My particular server was friendly though.

Great food, great drinks, awesome food , the best service and very friendly people.

I love the relaxed vibe. The staff is always friendly and the food...*chef's kiss*

We had a date night on Sunday and had the best time! We made a reservation for 5:30, and I'm so glad we did because it got busy not too long after! Toasted Marshmallow Martini was strong but so decadent? Irish Nachos were great. My boyfriend's steak was perfectly cooked, and my wicked chicken was smoky and moist. Everything was fresh and delicious. There are many gluten free options which was so wonderful to see since my boyfriend has a gluten intolerance and had so many choices. Our server (a very nice guy i cant remember the name of) was amazing too. Kept drinks full and had a smile and made us feel very comfortable. There was a moment when another server dropped a ranch cup off of a plate, and when it hit the floor it somehow made it across the way and splashed us, but we all had a big laugh about it and she was kind enough to help my boyfriend get the ranch off the back of his head?. Will definitely be back to try more and enjoy the friendly atmosphere!

This was absolutely one of the best dining experiences since I've been in Abilene.
