Possibly the worst Panera I've been to. The service is slow, the order has come out wrong a couple times, and, most recently, I had bad avocados on my sandwich. More brown than green kind of bad.
I had to try and see why the ratings were so low for a Panera Bread. I have frequented several locations across the area and was shocked to see such a low rating. As a stop in after 8pm the parking lot was relatively empty. But they were open and the staff was friendly. Our order came out quick in my opinion. And we had a triple meal order. Thank you for the cranberry orange muffin. It was better than I expected.
First time trying Panera the other night. Signed up for the free drink every two hour special. The first time you get a free pastry. Was greeted by the assistant Mgr, Randy. He was absolutely the best. So nice and cheerful. Nowdays, cheerful people are hard to find. He and the girl who waited on us at the window were both so pleasant. My granddaughter told me she tried the Mac n cheese sandwich with broccoli cheese soup today and it was delicious! So now I'm going to have to try it the next time I come through to get my free drink, which is a great special by the way. Free drink every 2 hours from now till 5-26 I believe. Then for $10.99 a month you can continue with this special. My only complaint was the sweet tea I got was way too sugary, for me, but next time I'll order half and half. Thanks Panera for your pleasant employees. Update, my granddaughter visited the restaurant on the 4th and once again, was so impressed with our waitress, Linda. She was super sweet. I didn't know the sandwich I ordered came with a horseradish dressing. She and the manager cheerfully made me another one when I told her I didn't care for the dressing. No problem! That is good customer service. The food is a little pricey, but it was hot and made with delicious baked bread. I'll pay a little more for the good hot fresh food and great service.
We had a delicious lunch. I had the Half Green Goddess Salad with Chicken (you can get it without chicken & it comes with half a roll), & the half Bacon Turkey Bravo Sandwich (with Gouda Cheese). Very tasty.
We had some unique needs and they went out of their way to make the sandwich just right. It was beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. Loved the Strawberry Banana Smoothie. Thank for making our Mother Daughter Date a success.
I’m a Panera bread fan BUT this location has to be the WORST one in America. I don’t know if it’s poor management or who does their inventory but it sucks. I gave this location a few tries before coming to the conclusion that the food here consistently sucks. Orders are NEVER complete. If you order soup, they don’t have croutons. If I order a salad, I’m missing ingredients and components of what makes it that salad (ex: Greek salad missing olives), sandwiches missing ingredients, etc. The small tomatoes aren’t even whole, they slice up the grape tomatoes as to make it appear like there are more tomatoes on the salad than what there really is. I don’t know if it’s the managers way of “cutting corners” to reduce their end cost but as the customer we still pay full price for incomplete orders and it’s straight up bs. Lettuce is subpar and seems old and wilted, not ever crisp and fresh. It’s to the point that it’s bad enough I’m making this review. Maybe the Panera Bread corporation can look into this location because it really makes the company look bad. I would never recommend this location to anyone. Ever.
I’ve given this place lots of grace. Never had a great experience, but also never had a terrible one, until today. I ordered a curbside, rapid pick up order. Waited 30 minutes for it, then finally just went to the drive thru. No apology for having to wait, even though my order was promised to be ready 30 minutes prior, and then I was given only half of my order. I’ve now been trying to call for 20 minutes to speak with someone and cannot get through to the any person or even leave a message.Update: I was never able to speak with anyone from that Panera specifically, but the customer service rep I was finally able to speak with gave me a reward for a free sandwich and another $10 off reward.
My favorite place to have lunch! Best sandwiches!!! ?
I love Panera. I worked at Panera in high school. I always have lots of grace for them because I know how hard it can be on a busy day. But today my mom and I visited the one in Abilene. We were the only two customers and there were four employees, including a manager. I’ve been through the drive through lots of times since the dining room has been closed for so long and had mostly good experiences. But going in was a different experience. It was beautiful inside and so clean. But it truly felt like they didn’t want us in there. The soda machine was turned off. We ordered breakfast a few minutes before 10:30 when they stop serving it and after we had paid and sat down the cashier came and told us that they weren’t serving breakfast because they’d “thrown away the eggs” and so we had to go get a refund. We ordered again. The buzzer went off for my mom’s food and she went to the window where everyone just stared at her like they didn’t know what she wanted. She asked for her food and they gave her the soufflé she ordered, but it was cold. I ordered a cold brew with almond milk. They gave me a latte with whipped cream. I had to walk them through the entire process of getting me a bagel and toasting it. I straight up asked the manager if they didn’t want us there and she just turned around, walked away and went and hid in her office. It was bizarre. We cleared our dishes and left a tip and wish the miserable folks at Panera all the best. I hope they can find some happiness and satisfaction in their jobs at some point. It’s just too bad because the breakfast options here are so limited.
I used to love Panera but after multiple attempts at this location, I will not be returning. The dining room was closed and I ordered rapid pick up online for a group of people with 6 different sandwiches and had requested labels for the order and when I was given my order (after having to call because dining room was closed) I was told to sniff my sandwich to differentiate orders. I spoke with the manager who ultimately labeled the sandwiches but will not be returning to this establishment.
