What a quaint artsy coffee shop which has a lot of personality, friendly service, wonderful ambience and of course, great coffee. It's in the heart of downtown so it's a wonderful place to go and hang out but then walk around to enjoy the downtown charm of Abilene. In addition to having great coffee, they also have delicious smoothies and unique and wonderful selections of tea. I love the decor with great art from local artists and has a relaxing vibe to the place that makes you want to just hang out with friends and family and enjoy your time together. The service is personalized and they really want to help you find just the right coffee and tea and are highly accommodating with food intolerances. Would highly recommend this coffee shop.
I ALWAYS give 5 stars because of the service, friendliness and fantastic drinks. I give 1 star only for 3/20/22 because of the 2 Male staff on duty that evening. They were rude, insulting, condescending and rushed customers to leave the establishment with 15 minutes still left to closing. As a result, I will not go on evenings they are working.
We were welcomed when we arrived snd had friendly service. Our drinks were served promptly and were delish. We didn’t stay too long, but enjoyed the feel of the visit. They had a constant stream of customers all served similarly.

It's really rare that I go into a business and feel the care that has been put into the business, but also the community. Art on the walls is provided by local artists and they host an open mic night where musicians can play music they want. It feels comfortable and welcoming with eclectic decor featuring a variety of couches and puffy chairs. The coffee is high quality, not very expensive and made to order. It was a nice find in a downtown area that feels neglected.

Great coffee and wonderful atmosphere. It is one of my favorite coffee places to go in Abilene to get a Latte. Dirty Chai Latte is fantastic and I like their seasonal pumpkin Latte too.
I've been coming here a lot more recently due to starting some school, and I've always loved this place. Great coffee, great service, and a great place to study and relax! Highly recommend, even if you aren't doing school/studying, you should come by and enjoy the atmosphere, especially on open mic nights on Thursdays!
I've been coming to Monks about 2 weeks now I've always had a great experience I get an iced vanilla caramel latte and I usually get a muffin it's always yummy. When it comes to customer service they are awesome 10 out 10 would recommend.
