Reasonably priced food. Pizza was very greasy but it’s pizza so ok. My issue was simply getting a to-go cup. I saw the lady cashier hand one to a customer who had a regular cup but asked for a to-go cup as she was leaving and the gentleman behind me had one. However, when I asked if they had any, the guy (owner?) told me they they didn’t have them, when obviously they do. I would have paid for it, but wasn’t given that option, just flat out told no they didn’t have them. I had planned to bring my family back but likely won’t due to this. I know it may be be an insignificant issue to some, but to me it’s basic customer service, Why lie to me about having to-go cups and dismissing me?
This reaturant is a hidden treasure in Abilene. The food here is always great! From huge pizza by the slice, to Stromboli, to even amazing pasta (try the pink sauce!) everything I have tried here is just quite wonderful! The staff are also a very enjoyable experience all their own, and I just feel like I'm in someone's home enjoying some great food everytime. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Been here twice.I love NY style pizza and they come as close as you could hope for considering you are in Texas. On a good day they are about 70-80% on nailing NY style.BUT they were having a bad day on my second trip.I picked up a pie on the way home from work and it was awful. It looked and felt like they reheated another pie.It was dry, and the crust was like jerky. You are in Texas. Go get brisket at the shed or cook yourself a steak.
The place stunk the pizza were old and dry the people were rude and hateful I felt unwelcomeed I asked for a cup of ranch and the lady acted liked I was not there then the man asked me what I need and I said a cup or ranch IT WAS A 1.50 for a cup of RANCH WOWAnd 4 dollars EACH for pizza that was old and dry THAT DID NOT HAVE NO Flavor if I could give this a zero star I would
Supreme pizzas very good but seem alittle expensive. I will keep buying them.
the best food no matter what you get on the menu!! friendly staff, family owned
I was not sure what to expect when I went with my brother to this restaurant. I walked in and was instantly salivating for the pizza and calzone. The first time I went I ate the spinach calzone - pretty darn good. The second time though, I order eggplant parmesan. YEAH - not spicy, just freaking great! I ate it all and then realized I had a salad...oh dear. If you are in a hurry - you can order what you see at the counter, nicely displayed and looking good! Pizza by the slice, stromboli (?), calzone and a nice guy (you can't order him though). They are always busy making food and the drive through is always busy. It's clean and well it, better to see the good food! I am wanting to try more and will - I can already feel the calories lol!
Absolutely love this place for authentic Italian! My favorite is the stromboli. Such an amazing environment!
I never write reviews but this experience was so bizarre I feel compelled to warn people. We decided to try Joes based on reviews but I have to assume they are paying for 5 star reviews. This was possibly the worst pizza dinner I’ve ever had. We ordered (delivery) a cheese pizza, focaccia, and a Greek Salad. I’m not sure if the cook knows what focaccia is, but what we got was a sub roll cut up with slices of tomato and cheese on top. The Greek salad was literally just iceberg lettuce with a couple of pepperocini, canned olives, and feta. They didn’t have a Greek or Italian dressing option so we ordered “house” dressing assuming it’d be some sort of oil and vinegar. It was watered down pizza sauce as far as I can tell, truly disgusting. The cheese pizza was edible but flavorless with hockey puck crust that could break a tooth. They also included a frozen croissant for some reason. This was a huge waste of time and money and so, so disappointing.
This place is my new fav, I'm working my way through the menu and everything is great! Don't waste your time or palette on the other guys this is where you want to go,
