I went to dennys on south clack this morning and I was pleasantly surprised at what I experienced and observed . I saw the staff working like loving family ,like they' knew what the other was thinking and needed, they all were literally jogging to each table clearly short handed the manager brought my food to the table himself we didn't even get a chance to ask for anything the waitress and her coworkers worked so well backing each other . The food was perfect I looked at other tables and their orders it looked like a perfect commercial. To sum it up me and my daughter saw the most unselfish people working hard to please people that had no clue how great they are .we saw you ,you all are wonderfull ,thank you for all you do.! Sincerely!
waited an hour for our food and they forgot about our order and what we ordered
Wonderful services from the waitress tonight Nichole M. She was very attentive to us even though she was there alone. Hope they get more help for her she went beyond her way to make sure we were taking care of even being really shorthand and working over hershift. Aslo food was actually really good tonight hot and fresh tasting pancakes.
Great friendly staff went above and beyond. The food was good and even though they had a full house we were well taken care of. My family always enjoys the atmosphere.
The service was awful all the way around. Our waitress,was attentive at first. Then she seemed to get impatient bc we were not ready to order. Then they were out of some odd three things we tried to order. Once our food was ready someone else other than our waitress brought it to us. As she got to the table some of our food was slung off the tray on to the floor as well as the table. It was replaced, and when she brought it the replacement she dropped more food. Replaced again. The food was not the best either. The pancakes were right on time, and the coffee was hot. That is about the only two good things out of the whole experience. I will not be going back to Denny's here in Abilene.
Worst service I have ever experienced, after I got sat I waited 20 min until a waitress tapped me on the shoulder to ask what I wanted to drink. She didn't introduce herself, say hi, or anything else just asked what I was drinking. I told her coffee and before I could say creamer, she walked off. When she came back she put the coffee on the table and again walked off, finally about 5 min later she asked if I wanted food and still never introduced herself. I will not be coming back to this Denny's, and I will be calling corporate. If it was busy I could possibly understand, but it was nowhere near busy.
The food was very good, and the service was solid. Breakfast for two people was over $30 though which seemed very high. Hadn't been to Denny's in years, not sure if we'll be going back.

Visited this place today for breakfast as it was convenient to our hotel. Hostess went to seat us directly in line with front door. We ask to have booth to the right and was told someone went home sick and no wait staff for that section. So she seated us at a table just one table from original seats. Waitress greeted us within 10 minutes and took drink order. She brought drinks and took our order. Hostess seats new customers in the booth we had requested. ??? We didn’t order anything big as we were splitting the Lumberjack. Waited 30 minutes for coffee refill until I had to ask another waitress to refill our coffee. Trying to remain patient as they are getting busier. After 1.25 hours and numerous patrons getting served hot meals, all whom came in and ordered long after us, we finally got up and left. Yes we paid for our coffee. Very poor attention to the customer. Had our waitress stopped chit chatting and done her job, it might have been better. Not to mention she was being reprimanded by a superior while walking through customer’s tables. Poor management decision.
Love Denny's. I'm a regular there so this may not be fair. But every time I go greetings at the door clean table and only a few minutes wait for first drinks. Food is hot employees are always happy tables are clean.
