Went to Chelsea's to celebrate my April 8 birthday with friends, before attending a play at Abilene Community Theatre (ACT). I was looking forward to having a frozen raspberry margarita (only place that I knew had it). Waitress informed the group that the machine for frozen drinks was broken. My friend asked if they have alcoholic cider, was told "No." Looking back over the drink menu, we asked for Sangrias, and was told that they didn't have all the ingredients to make it. At this time, my friend asked, "Well what do you have?" The waitress pointed out the expensive drinks, but we just decided on sweet tea/soda. I ordered the 6-pc bone-in Southern wings, it came drenched in BBQ sauce (it looked like a full bottle was poured over it). So before I could eat them I had to wipe off the BBQ sauce inorder to taste the wings.
I sat at the bar for 10 minutes waiting for someone to take my order. They were kind of busy so I give them the benefit of the doubt. They got my drink and a menu. I tried to let them know several times I was ready to order. After more than 5 minutes of waiting she came over and said she would be right with me to take my order. I was there 45 minutes and only had one drink... while sitting at the bar.Busy, off night, not sure exactly why but after 45 minutes with 1 drink and basically no service, I left money for my drink and tip and left.I hope to actually eat next time. They have great burgers but some servers don't seem to care
The food was great. Ordered an appetizer which as potato wedges it had cheese with bacon on top served with a side of sour cream and entrée was a machete of carne asada. I ended bringing leftovers home. Not realizing it was so much. I shared it with my sister. Chelsea's is great atmosphere for watching sports as well.
The food and drinks are great. I really wish the management would train the waitstaff as a whole better. Everytime I've been there's 1 or 2 girls busting theirs butts and the others are chit-chating as my food or drinks are sitting in the window. I would go way more often but this is always an issue.
Great place to have a beer, watch sports and eat good food. Had the Shrimp ceviche tonight and it was a meal.
My husband and I came to Chelsea’s for the first time today. It was clean and comfortable. We ordered the club and the patty melt and the jumbo cheese sticks we loved the waitress (Adora) and the food was HOT and fresh juiciest burger in a while thank you for a great dining experience I will recommend your place to anyone
A casual spot with a full service bar. Draft and bottle beer also available. They have your typical bar food of burgers, sandwiches, nachos, wings, etc.I ate here on a Friday afternoon and was in and out within 30 minutes. Prompt service, good food.
Had the all american burgerAnd NO COMPLAINTS from this guy. Perfect amount of food and hot.
