Slow service. Average meal that lacked flavor. The baked potato was not freshly baked. The mesquite chicken was dry and did not have much flavor. The car usar salad was OK.
On our way to Colorado for vacation my husband and I stopped to eat, we heard about this place on the Texas bucket list t.v show as the best place for steak in Texas.Boy, they were not kidding! I had the 10oz new York strip, and he ate the 45oz ribeye. And that was an amazing steak! Tender and full of flavor, the green beans and tomatoes, and mashed potatoes, we're yummy, the salted caramel cheese cake was delicious.Impeccable service warm inviting atmosphere,makes this place a must see.
We stopped here on the way to our hotel for dinner. Easy to find, parking in the back. Was seated with in 5 mins. Our server was nice but he forgot some of our order (but he added it to our bill) once our food arrived he never came back to refill our drinks, until he brought us our bill....
Damn good steak! That Oskar tho!!! Great cocktails as well. Slow night so the bartender was super friendly. Thanks Carolan!
Have eaten there many times. The food is undeniably great. The service is always great. Went there for a 6:30 pm reservation for 16 people. we arrived at 6PM. Was told upon arrival it would be at least an hour and a half wait. We thought surely not, We have reservations right? Nope, apparently reservations dont mean jack here. At 7:50 they said our table was ready as we where leaving. We thought if it took this long to get seated they might close before we got our food. Again great restaurant, just definitely lacking in the scheduling department! Truly a disappointment tonight.
Delicious house made Bleu cheese dressing. Fresh salad greens. Tasty grilled chicken. Onion rings are house made, a little too greasy for my taste. Rolls were a little blond ...needed a few more minutes in the oven. Real butter for the bread was nice. Fresh flowers on the table.
The staff was very friendly. We were traveling through and this place was highly rated. It was very clean and I liked the atmosphere. The food was hit and miss. The grilled veggies were great. The oysters were gritty and tasted very fishy. The kids grilled cheese is not what a typical grilled cheese would be, my kids hated the white cheese used and wouldn't eat it. I tasted it and didn't like it either. The chicken strips are a better kid choice. The burger looked amazing, but when it first came out it was raw. Like blood raw. They re-cooked and it was great! The manager should've come by and apologized for serving a raw burger... But did not. The brisket stuffed avocado was excellent!!! I would absolutely go back again just for that! I would just be mindful of the other things we order.
In town for work. First time dining here and was not disappointed. Escargot appetizer was delicious and my 10oz Filet was perfectly cooked and delicious as well. This places lives up to the hype. Would dine here again.
We had the CFS entree which was large, hot and excellent, sides were mediocre at best and cold. Rolls were awful, no taste, hard and dessert was frozen.Salad was good but we weren't offered the selections available and portion size between customers wasn't consistant.Service was eh could've been better. And it was my birthday. Might try again and ask for Ling, she served another table and delivered excellent customer service to her party. I would want her next time.
