Do NOT recommend for people of color..I saw this restaurant online and was excited to try it. So I decided to go in and place a order.. As I walked in nobody said anything to me.. I waited for about 5 minutes and I saw one of the servers walk pass me and start cleaning a table.. at that point I decided to leave.. soon after I left I saw a white couple go in and was almost seated immediately. Disappointed to say the least.
Awesome aroma from the door. Place has good sauce, good bread, and food portions. Excellent presentations on food. Fair on price. We went at 3. Good service they were probably understaffed like everyone else around town but we couldn't tell. Got Chicken Parm it's good took a lot home. Will be returning. Btw this place a lil off the path but it's nice area near farmers market downtown Smyrna. They got good piano music in here
We had a 6:15 reservation, but were not greeted at all when we arrived. When someone finally noticed us about 10 minutes later, we were told to sit wherever we wanted. We chose to sit outside and were brought menus. The first clue that this wasn't really an Italian restaurant was the loaded baked potato skins on the appetizer menu! And it went on from there. It took another 15 minutes to get water and we ordered right away. At 7:10 (nearly a full hour after our reservation), I went into the building to check on our food because we had to be somewhere else at 7:30 and although the restaurant was full of guests, there was no staff visible! It took 5 minutes for anyone to come to the front. The food was delivered at 7:23 and the chicken piccata was unrecognizable. A simple Italian dish was completely disgusting. If you can't deliver a proper chicken piccata, you shouldn't be allowed to use the title "ristorante italiano". Our waiter was clueless to the point of not bringing our drinks or refills, and when I asked for the bill because we were pressed for time, he simply apologized and never brought it. We cannot recommend this restaurant.
I was only doing a door dash delivery but everyone was nice altho I had to wait for a while for the order to be finished due to the order being put in wrong at the restaurant the woman was very nice an even helped me carry it all to my car. (It was a big order). And omg it smelled delicious, I am definitely going back to try the food myself very soon.
A couple weeks before Valentine's Day, I made reservations for the night before the big day. We both work long days so the day before Valentine's was a better option. She was excited as was I since all she knew was we had plans and to be ready. The look on her face was priceless as I drove and she was trying to figure out where I was taking her. I turned on to Washington St. and she lit up because she figured out where I was taking her. The look on both of our faces was one of disgust as we pulled up to a closed restaurant. Our Valentine's was ruined.
Had their pizza (marguerita dnd regular cheese). Both were delicious... hand thrown crust (what a delightul suprise) and good melted cheese (not burnt - WOW). Food was good, service was pleasant, price was reasonable. Would have loved to give it a five star. Only problem, the dining room was unheated and very, very cold - not a congenial way to enjoy some really good pizza. Will definitely go back when the ambient temperature is more pleasant.
I been there before and the specialty pasta was really good second time going back tonight and my pasta was good butttt my darn garlic breads were burnt I got all the way home and was like darn I can't even bite it now they know this was burnt when they gave it to me really....I guess I'm done ? my chicken wasn't chopped down enough either it was too!! Thick not tender at all...yea I'm done....thanks I wish I could upload a picture of this bread oh wait I found way
The pizza was very good! The garlic twists amazing! Thought I would start with pizza and see. The dishes coming out were huge, hot and smelled wonderful! My server Olivia was adorable and so friendly! I'll be back because of her and the food. Some menu additions would make this place even better!
Excellent food. I am looking forward to returning. Very friendly waitress. More people need to eat there because there was to many empty tables!
Great mom & pop Italian restaurant. Food freshly cooked & tastes great. Breadsticks are the best! Good wine selection. Owner & staff very friendly.
